  • I've encountered the same problem with sims who use gender-neutral or custom pronouns, so yes, I think that's the reason. I have no more hope that non-English players will ever get the pronouns update, so I hope they'll at least fix the names.
  • With over 300 played sims, that's a tough one, but I'd say Jophiel Ember, an angelic mermaid living on Sulani, is the prettiest female sim I've ever created in CAS. As for the men, there's Jophiel's son, basically a male version of her who is also my simself's boyfriend, but I don't have a picture of him right now. Which…
  • Well, I know an Anna-Lisa in real life, and she’s quite the... female dog... so that’s probably why.
  • No one really understands the crude language filter, only that it's overly sensitive. If there's a word that meant something bad in a dead alien dialect that was spoken on Mars in a mirror universe five billion years ago, EA will somehow know about it and not let you use it for gallery uploads. I did some research on this…
  • Not sure about the Flower Bunny, but I have the Grim Reaper as a played sim in my save, and he even had a child with a vampire lady. His NPC role was not affected by this, as that same Grim Reaper would still show up whenever someone died in other households. (I could tell by him having the same personality and…
  • Yeah, plant sims suck in TS4. It's not a permanent state, and they didn't even get proper plant leaves for hair like back in TS2, just the green version of one of the existing hairstyles. (Also, I have a bug that makes plant sims' hair change all the time.) No plant vines on their skin either if I remember correctly, just…
  • Okay, I have a question - can't test this myself because I don't own Growing Together. Can an adult sim ride a horse while carrying an infant in the baby carrier at the same time?
  • Well, I suppose you have learned your lesson: Never give an animal the Friendly trait! :D They won't give you any peace. It's the same with cats and dogs, and even human sims. I only use the Outgoing trait when I'm really planning to have their entire life revolve around socialising. Leave them alone for five minutes and…
  • - Changing tables and stuff to do for infants - More child aspirations - Milestones - Social compatibility - Multi-purpose lots (let's call them "rec centres") In other words: Most features from Growing Together should have been base game updates - especially the infant stuff, because without the pack, they're just smaller…
  • Other: I find them both horrible. Get rid of them and record a real baby, not an adult trying to sound like one for the microphone. And while we're at it, please do the same thing with all the other living creatures in the game that aren't adult humans. The little sheep's sound didn't fool me for one second.
  • Right now: 377 in total, including 198 "normal" sims, 143 occults and 36 pets, all in one save. Gender-wise, I have 158 males, 196 females, 6 non-binary sims and 17 asari. :)
  • @mcrudd Wow, thank you so much for all your efforts! Now I know it's definitely my problem and not a general problem. My guess is that it's either mod-related (although I can't imagine which of my mods could be causing this) or that everything is fine and it simply didn't work the first time I tried (like how my very first…
  • @mcrudd That would be lovely, thank you! @elanorbreton Yes. But when the list of things I can feed to the horse comes up, prairie grass is the only option, no matter what else is in the sim's inventory. The sim and the horse have a very good relationship. Could it have something to do with the horse's temparament skill…
  • Yuki Hime, my Japanese version of Snow White living in Mt. Komorebi, now has a horse called Shiro. Even though his name literally means "White", Shiro mirrors his owner's colour preferences of white, black, and red. (I realise this isn't the best example of that, but I honestly can't explain why she's wearing blue and…
  • Beautiful! I classify that as good news for the players who like to experience all seasons, but have been avoiding the new world because they thought it wouldn't get real snow. Now I'm looking forward to winter in Chestnut Ridge myself, as it's the only desert world in the game where snow actually sticks to the ground.
  • When I download other players' sims, it's usually for the same reason as when I'm downloading their lots: Because they're supposed to look a certain way that I'm either too lazy or not skilled enough to create myself. For example, I'm not very good at making believable Asian-looking sims, so when I need a Japanese woman, I…
  • Germany here, I noticed the sale, but Base Game 2.0 (a.k.a. Growing Together) is still too expensive, so I'll keep waiting.
  • @Gordy The idea has crossed my mind. I think I'll try that next time I play. @Atreya33 I'm fairly okay with the dwarf sheep even though I'm not as crazy about them as most people. Quite a few of my sims enjoy knitting or cross-stitching and could use their own source of wool, but the llama takes up so much space, looks out…
  • I have not encountered the aforementioned bugs concerning eating or nectar making, but I do have two comparatively minor annoyances, maybe someone could tell me if these are bugs or what I'm doing wrong: - Sometimes, after a sim has successfully mounted a horse and I tell them to go for a ride, the sim just unceremoniously…
  • Not sure at what point it qualifies as a ranch, but one of my three horse households lives in Pendula View, Willow Creek. It rains quite a bit, but the horse doesn't seem to be bothered as long as there's no lightning and thunder. I have yet to see how a horse behaves in cold and snowy conditions. Yukimatsu, Mt. Komorebi…
  • Where do you guys even run into townies? My Chestnut Ridge is empty like a ghost town from a horror movie.
  • Secret ghost horse in Galloping Gulch, only visible at night.
  • Feathers are a collectible in Brindleton Bay, and cats or dogs can sometimes bring them home as a gift for their owner, I believe. I knew there was a reward for finding all of them, but not what it was.
  • I haven't found a way to plant it, but I suppose if you have the lot trait and don't like the places where it grows, you can just move the grass somewhere else in Build Mode and pretend that you planted it there. I'll try that today. They are, actually. My sim living in the town area of Chestnut Ridge just bought them from…
  • I only have three horses so far: 1) Baby, named after Dean Winchester's car in Supernatural because there are no cars in the game, so he got a black horse instead. 2) Raijin, after the Japanese god of thunder, for a sim with many pets and animals named after deities from various mythologies. 3) Magenta, after the colour;…
  • In the thread asking about our plans for Horse Ranch, I introduced Mariel, the sim I created months ago to eventually become my horse sim. Well, now she finally has her horse, a male unicorn called Raijin, and they're getting on perfectly!
  • I actually have a star projector. Makes for pretty atmospherical movie nights as well. Too bad the stars are green, of all colours... It's an animated cc floor texture by Bakie that actually sparkles, especially with lights on. It also exists as a wallpaper. Here are the links if you're interested: Floor / Ceiling:…
  • Here's the very first horse I created, Baby, trying to throw off his new owner, Dean Winchester, who obviously still has a lot to learn. I love the animations and facial expressions, you can tell the rider is doing this for the first time and not feeling safe, even when the horse is walking calmly. And I'm glad that Social…
  • Click on the horse's face in CAS, as if you wanted to edit the eyes or nose. The horn will show up in its own category to the right.
