Proteus in his human form has brown hair, and average looks. But in his merman form, because he is 'the old man of the sea' (prophetic shapeshifting god of Greek mythology) I made his hair grey and gave him more of an octopus form. I can't take too much credit for Phoenicia, her parents did most of the work. B)

Okay just test played the finished build, and for the most part it works (except the mermaids swim through the rocks on the side of the pools, and you have to tell them to swim in the pools or else they'll head out for the ocean nearby). @Metior_Ice Thanks heaps for those links and cheats. :) At the moment I'm just trying an above ground build with pool access. I might try an underwater themed build at a later date. I do have the sea-nery stuff set from spinning plumbobs, I'm hoping to incorporate the basking rocks into this build. :)

WIP, I'm not usually a builder and I rarely use move objects cheat when I do build, but I've decided to just go full experimental with this. I'm hoping it will be a functioning nighclub for mermaids when it's finished. :)

I've just downloaded spinning plumbob's expanded mermaid mod, so definitely have updates from that. I'm just seeing what it does, lot of fun so far. :)

Thanks. :) I tend to go through occult phases, where I'll play one occult more than the others. At the moment I'm playing with my Mer-sims a lot. And yeah thankfully I had the majority of my sim families backed up to the gallery, but others I hadn't gotten around to saving so I lost them. Computer was only just over a year…

I also lost some of my mermaid Sims that I didn't have backed up when my computer decided to crash. Some of the mermaid sims I have now are recreations of my old ones, except I've given them different family backgrounds.

I chose other, because I haven't even come close to maxing out the performance of my computer, but that still doesn't mean I don't need mods to ensure my Sims game runs properly, or that I will just buy packs for the sake of buying them.

I upload my Sims to the gallery so I have them fully saved somewhere incase of major computer crashes (which happened recently). I've never really stopped to think that anyone might actually want to download them. I mean people are welcome to, it's just not something I've thought of.

My computer crashed too a couple of months ago, and by crashed I mean heat sync fan failed, harddrive got fried, entire computer needed to be replaced. Whatever computer you buy I would highly recommend paying the extra money to get extended warranty. Without extended warranty I would've been completely stuffed.

Yeah it sounds fine on the computer, but put it in the game and it's way quieter and really tinny sounding.
