  • Sims 2 coop (and I am assuming 1 was the same) was really fun, but I don't see it ever being like that on PC. We controlled Sims from traditional 3rd person instead of top down and could interact with each other like a coop RPG. If Sims 5 goes online it'll probably be MMO on hosted/monitored servers. However, if offline…
  • They sanitized some of the darker and more mature things from the older games. I hesitate to label it childish myself, and would probably contrast more to 2 for this point due to sanity, social bunny, therapist, etc. However, if you are new you weren't around for some of the small controversies with the packs. In the…
  • I seriously doubt they will Overwatch 2 this. The backlash even there was pretty rough. To the point they are supposedly buckling down. Eventually you need a new code base. Destiny 1 for example. Also, for the record, if they vault anything like Destiny 2, I am beyond done. If they take away anything we paid for they can…
  • More or less. I know there are supposed to be animations for admiring decor, but I consistently give my Sims favorite decor and rarely see it. Just don't give them any. I have never had a pop up asking if they like specific furniture. My houses are usually full of other things to do, though. Usually I see the most aberrant…
  • It's not that I don't send them, it is just that I seldom do. It absolutely is an exercise in speed management overload and I wouldn't send them at all if they were just going to flunk out anyway, but only certain situations really have me willing to go through it.
  • So theoretically yes, depending on what you want. You can use relationship cheats. I am sure MCCC can do something too, I am just not familiar with the mod. Do you want the uncle to just show up in the tree and stay dead or want to bring another version of him back? The latter is easier. Genuinely. All you have to do for…
  • I actually like the resume button and appreciate it. The reason people have said the load button works to go into neighborhood view is because that is what we were told. If it doesn't, they messed up because we were supposed to have the option between load and resume to do that. I haven't tested it in a while, but I…
  • It isn't off the table and they did introduce it as an entire concept, however it isn't a guarantee either. Long story short, no official comment. It might have come down to a cost benefit analysis of how many additional units of Spa Day sold, and last I checked no one but EA/Maxis has those numbers.
  • Theoretically and pessimistically, yes. Officially confirmed, no.
  • Did you check both trees and it showed as a child of the marriage in both? It should definitely be possible. The game even forgets great grandparents or great grandchildren are related. I don't remember a patch ever policing unrelated heritage, either. I haven't tried this specifically with wolves, but I don't see why it…
  • This may be slightly controversial, but I liked both 3's Sweet Treats and this idea. Actual gameplay more so, of course, I'd love an actual candyland. We do technically have ice cream from Cool Kitchen and Lemonade is a mixer with the pitcher from Backyard Stuff and can run a bakery/ice cream shop with Dine Out/Get To Work…
  • I agree with most of your speculations. They honestly don't bother me too much, though. You get used to and sort of expect this kind of thing from 4. I just need enough meat to get my teeth into and I will be good, at least on this theme. I like having the option, but I can very much see active high school being a pain in…
  • I can tell you disagree, but that is kind of part of the point. Bestial doesn't mean evil for socials, and they've based the rampage more around anger than hunger for wanton hunting (though hunger can be a trigger). Put a rampaging wolf in a full house of people and there will still be plenty of chaos without it. I do, and…
  • Anything food/kitchen related.
  • Nope. I've had some randomly flirt and mess things up because of TV, random trait emotions, lot traits, etc. Pretty well anytime they feel flirty it can be a problem. However, nothing that made them seem anything more than malfunctioning pixels. I fix it and move on. Maybe because I rarely do out of household interactions,…
  • Okay, we need a Generations pack, plain and simple. Highschool Years will ideally bolster the teens, but there is still plenty more to do with aging. Looking at elders especially. All that aside-- I love Castaway. I don't think 4 could do it well as a pack, so it probably shouldn't be one, but I really want Castaway back.…
  • I guess a little. I know they cannot cover everything, but some elements feel much more movie or internet borne than reality. That can be annoying. Plus, I'd prefer it be a little more customizable for other cultures, though maybe it will be. Prime example, school uniforms. Neat little detail in Mt. Komorebi. I hope I can…
  • It usually depends on the family. Some are more wild than others. Generally speaking, though, everyone must be housebroken. That includes toddlers/children throwing paint and syrup. I also just like teaching my pets tricks and having my children do their homework, but it isn't something I break my back over either.…
  • Makeup. Yes, I have worn it IRL, but it is such a time and money sink! Plus, if you didn't develop the skills in middle school, nobody has the tolerance for an appearance not up to snuff. So, pretty on Sims, but a pain on me. And then, yeah. The give-me promiscuity, theft, drama, crime, etc.
  • I agree, though. I don't mind rewarding preorders, but locking content away forever behind an arbitrary timeframe is something I staunchly disagree with. Make it cost a few bucks, but do list it later. As you've already pointed out, it disadvantages new players the most. Even silly little things like cosmetics sting when…
  • So yes and no. Technically there were cliques, but less on stereotypical lines. Beyond sports. Sports were everything; the only thing they put money into. Specifically football. Everything else had to fund itself. Band and horticulture (the latter was my interest) could do that because we had amazing teachers organize…
  • The Sims series has been one of my game rocks since childhood. I have definitely always played more games than just it, but along with my other childhood loves they continue to dominate large percentages of my entertainment time. There are definitely periods I spend more time in other games, though I never truly abandon…
  • *shrug* Hard to tell without seeing it, right? We don't know the schedule or the pack quality. For all we know, High School has had its own development team since launch in 2014. (Ridiculous notion, of course, but it illustrates how little we actually know proper about the pack development.) Anyway, I wouldn't sweat people…
  • To be honest, I suspected as much. I agree with the speculation that they will be a large portion of 4's tail. We'll probably get two kits every other pack release, like so far.
  • I get where you are coming from @beville. I was one of the people that didn't mind Eco and very much saw it as delivering the desires/feedback from the first community stuff pack that ended up as laundry, but it is hard to argue that the game isn't slanted in certain ways. Everything is. The YA bias has been pretty obvious…
  • I still have a lot of werewolves to do. Plus, I need to completely makeover my main cast with caster + wolf alts for my library. Plus now Highschool is on the horizon. I've been devouring Rise in preparation for Sunbreak, and it dropped last night. I'll probably be back in the Sims right as High School drops.
  • The amusement park looks really interesting. I need more info, but it definitely going into my game. I'm looking forward to having a reason to play teens.
  • So yes and no. I have had doors with locks that seemingly reset or stopped functioning, but I didn't notice it specifically with Eco doors. I'll have to test that.
  • This should probably be in the mods forum. The topic may not get the foot traffic you need otherwise.
  • What quality level are your dishes? From my experience, once you hit excellent you can no longer garnish because it will not improve the dish.
