Any good cc hair..?

ok, so i am new to all this cc stuff. I have now downloaded a 7-zip so i dunno. I think it will work. But does anybody have any good cc hair. The reason I have put using cc off for so long is because I didn't want any viruses or anything to mess up my game/computer. So pleasemake sure it is good cc.
Happy simming

There are a lot of good and safe CC out there, however, there is no telling how your game will handle it. You should learn about CC before downloading any into your game, as you may need to know how to troubleshoot if something glitches up. It's a lot of trial and error to see what will react badly with your game, although some are just corrupt no matter what.

Try and stay away from high poly count hairs as well. Some creators will tell you if it is and you can safely merge the hairs as well. Although before merging, make sure it is a hair that you have deemed acceptable. Although most hairs aren't usually an issue as far as glitches are concerned.

I personally like Anubis, Shymoo, Cazy, Lapiz and a few others.

    Hi!

If you're new to CC you might want to check out this thread to make sure you have everything set up correctly to install it. Otherwise, you might have problems later:

    http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/217955.page

I'd also check out Page 13 on this thread to see how to download and use Delphy's Dashboard and Custard for checking your CC before installing.

As for safe sites, here are some reliable sites that offer a variety of great hairs to cut your teeth on. Just a quick warning--while newer Peggy child and toddler hairs released after the Pets Patch work fine, the older ones (and all rextexures by other creators) are broken. :(

you can always go to http://mysims3blog.blogspot.com/ and check under the hair label and it will show all the hairs from around the web that the site owner found. It's really helpful and saves you a lot of searching around on the internet, plus it has a bunch of other amazing stuff :)

Beaverhausen is a tumblr that does really great hair recolors of many newsea or peggy hairs, which are generally of the highest quality.

    http://beaverhausenx.tumblr.com/tagged/custom-content

Also lotus does a great job, but she has been on hiatus for awhile

    http://ageiha.livejournal.com/

If you like really glossy, high volume recolors then try this one http://therescakeinyourhair.blogspot.com/

For more realistic hair recolors and re meshing try http://hairbymetalmoose.blogspot.com/

Also remember to only have one recolor, otherwise it could cause a conflict in your game if you multiple recolors of the same hair mesh and make it go all buggy. So keep track of what hairs you have, (although it is okay to have a sims3pack and package recolor of the same hair)
