Age progression

Hi

Can someone help me out, I'm very confused with the story progression setting in the game. I want to be able to play one household at a time and not have the other sims in the neighbourhood age up, so I turned story progression off.

Last night I went to play a different household to find them all elders. So today I have turned off aging too but that doesn't affect the current household I was playing and who I do want to age up.

Does anyone know what I can do?

Steph

I'm pretty sure there was a patch released to specifically fix that.

I've got all the lastest patches though.

Maybe I start a new game and try it again.

There are 2 settings in the options.

    Aging

    Story Progression

If you want nobody to age in the entire neighborhood, including your active household, you turn aging off.

If you want people to age to not move, get married, have kids, get promotions (all the story-progression things), you turn story progression off.

If you want your active household to age but nobody else, you'll have to turn off aging and do it manually through cheats or birthday cakes.
