    Too many boys!

    I'm starting to have my doubts...

    I started out my new Sims 3 game with a girl. She later got married, and had a baby boy. Their son then grew up to marry and had a baby boy of their own. When that son grew up, he had TWO sons. And now one of those sons has two boys of his own.

    That's a total of 6 boys in 5 generations of sims...

    Is there a glitch in my game?

      Are your female sims eating apples? Make them eat watermelon, it increases their chances of a girl greatly. This technique hasn't failed me yet.

      If you don't have the update installed and your sims eat food with apples during their pregnancy, then they will have only boys. Eat watermelon for girls.

      Make sure your sims don't eat apples. And eating apples includes eating pancakes or autumn salad.

      yes there is an increase of having boys when u eats apples...so when ur lady sim is preggers make her eat watermelon to hav a grl!

      Autumn Salad doesn't have apples in it.
      But yes, eat watermelon

      It still works with the update, you just have to eat uncooked apples and watermelon.

      i think they have more boys than girls so that the families dont die out..
      Like to keep the family names going on for generations..

      I know. I meant that the OP might not know about the food rule so they'd have to avoid certain foods if they didn't have the update yet. :D

      I ate three apples because I thought that it increased the chance of having girls. I mixed them up. Silly me :)
