customization isn't that great..

I think they put a lot into the face, but even then it doesn't seem like it gives you a lot possibilities. There's not that many mustaches and only a few hair styles to choose from. I would love to see more things added which most likely they will but I'll have to pay for them as I'm seeing... but can we get height customization? it would make the game more divorce and less copy and paste.

I was also disappointed with the customization options. Why is it that the designers never give as much attention to male character appearance and clothing?
Maybe it's just me, but I think the new Sims look like wax dummies with weird eyes that follow your every move while you're creating them. The improvements in the hands are wonderful, really lifelike, but the Sims themselves look so much alike. I can't seem to make one that looks truly unique. And there are too many limitation when creating children. There are only four or five hairstyle, and not nearly enough clothing options. My children always look like pumpkin-faced adults. They don't really look like kids.

The interior design options for homes, such as wallpaper, and carpeting, etc., are downright ugly. I've been relying on user created content to make my homes look cheerier. Using the custom creator thing is a slow process.

Usually the maxis created hair and clothing and so on isn't what I primarily use in a sims game anyway. Just allow some time for the creator's to start making their own meshes and mods for this game and download from them. Most of them will offer excellent things for free.

    try:

    http://modthesims.info/
http://aroundthesims2.com/ (a sims 2 site that will probably expand to sims 3 since she started with TS1)
    www.decorgal.com
    http://sims3port.com/downloads/
    http://www.parsimonious.org/
    http://www.snootysims.com/
    http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/browse/category/sims3

And these are just a few. Google it... and keep googling it and you will notice more and more become available.

I would love to use mods but I think it'll make it hard for me to upload my creations to the site with out people needing the mods I used. which is why I'm more disgruntled about.

One other thing that I would love is being able to add more to the face like laugh marks or the wrinkles people get on there forehead and cleft chins.
