    Trouble Finding the Messes

    Whenever I go in my livingroom, the can that tells me I don't like the mess shows up. I've looked everywhere but cannot find the mess. Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

      use testingcheatsenabled true
      Shift click your sim, and temporarily give them the "neat" trait
      then click the floor and clean the house

      she/he will automatically clean up the mess, and then you can put the traits back the way they were before.

      If your sim has several traits like neat, perfectionist etc they always want things clean. Check for newspapers on the floor, a sink that might be dirty, an empty plate (even if it doesn't have the green smell yet) an unmade bed can make them think there is a mess. Try fixing those things. I have a sim like that and everything makes them cranky from a "mess" I forgot to mention even a book not in the bookshelf could cause them to think it's messy.
