    Freezing Problem. PLZ HELP!!!

    Hi all,
    I installed LN some days ago and whenever I try to go to from build/buy mode to live mode the game freezes and the circle keeps spinning round and round and round...
    I have got several mods, which are all up-to-date, and many store items.

      I have the same problem!! But it randomly freezes throughout my sims day! The weird thing is that the only thing that freezes are the sims. Everything else still moves (rippling water, swaying bushes, etc.) It's driving me crazy!

      Mine freezes only when switching between build/buy mode and life mode but it's the same as yours. even the screen moves around... :? WTH??

      In my game, everything stops, including time, save for a few animations like the plumbob and leaves. And it freezes for good; I gotta close the program.

      It happens when I try to play livemode. Is this what you're experiencing?

      the same thing happens to me. I recently got Sims 3 for christmas, and I've installed it (on a Windows XP Toshiba laptop) and all that was fine, but when I'm playing it suddenly freezes and then the screen goes black (the music still plays but I can't see anything), and I have to do ctrl + alt + delete to get out of it. I then have to restart the game to continue playing and it's really frustrating because it doesn't save and I have to do everything again.
      Can anyone help me??

      When I start a game it plays fine for a day or 2 and then it starts to freeze up
      As sooon as a Sim Freezes and i have to reset it I know its going to start jerking
      and starting and stopping every few minutes. I have reached the point where I just delete my gameand start all over until EA issues a new patch which I hope will correct this
      The clock in the game stops when this happens for me and then leaps forward.

      I asked for 2 sims games for Christmas and got both and they installed perfect
      but whats the point if you cant play the darn things for more then 4/5 hours
      without starting all over.

      i just recently started have the same problem. I would play only but afew minutes in Live Mode and my game and computer will freeze. I can't do anything at all. Crt+Alt+Del does not work or the windows button. I have to do a manual hard shut down. I tried unistalling/reinstalling Late Night and that let me play for a few more mins longer but then it crashed to destop. I have no idea what to now, other than wiping out everything again and starting from scratch. I've read the latest update for LN is to blame for some problems too. I have no CC or Mods. only estuff from the exchange or store. I defragged the computer and nothing else is running in the background. I have more the the required specs to play the game as well. So i don't know what the problem is.

      press the windows button it will go to the desktop then you can close sims down.

      Nothing you can really do about it, the lastest update bugged the core game which depending on what eps you have you will experience 1 or many more of the bugs everyone is haveing issues with.

      Sucks because many of us haven't been able to play for the whole of December.

      I got it for christmas so I'm new to it, but today I made a family and then saved when they got to the house. After like an hour in a half/two hours of playing it froze and shut off. It didn't save any of it, i was ******. :evil:

      Did anyone ever get an answer to this? My requirements are more then enough and my game is usually fine until i edit my highrise and then i cant do anything the screen moves, the loading circle spins but nothing happens other then that?

      Its exactly as diligence said, one of the patches released around LN broke the game AGAIN causing the freezing bug AGAIN and EA, instead of trying to fix it, STILL feed us the same rubbish about it being everything BUT a patch issue and just refuse to acknowledge it is them to blame.
      Search Google for freezing issues with the Sims 3 just to see how wide spread the problem is, yet EA will still always try and tell the customer they are wrong.

      Excuse me if I sound a little Irate but never have I experienced so much trouble with a game before with 0 help from customer support. There should be laws against companies that treat paying customers this way!

      Also just to add AGAIN, I have no CC, I have clean installed about 7 times trying to resolve the issue since LN, The game ran flawlessly up until the release of LN and no amount of fix's, tweaks, running in windowed mode seem to resolve it.
