Help- sim is miserable

My sim is continuously miserable and she won't snap out of it. I have tried spa packages, movies, flirting, everything, but she is miserable. She won't paint, do laundry, nothing- just reads in her room.

Help- how do I fix her depression?

Purchase a more expensive bed - $1000 or higher

Do you have the latest patch? If so, some people have reported that buying a more expensive bed solves this issue but for me that did not work. I ended up uninstalling LN and reinstalling it and not DL'ing the patch. My game is fine now.

I bought a hot tub and my sims' moods improved drastically.

I tried that, she has the most expensive bed. It only made it worse. It certainly doesn't help that she's over-emotional and dramatic. :(

I don't really want to avoid uninstalling LN if possible.

So, I guess my only option is to reset sim? Will that work to get her mood back up?
