Problem with the launcher

So I installed a non-final copy of The sims 3, then when it came out I bought my collectors edition. Now when I open the launcher it says "You are playing a non-final, unauthorized copy of The Sims 3"
I have deleted then game and the preferences but it still says that.
¿What can I do?

(I really couldn't wait for the sims 3)

Non-final copy of the Sims 3 being...? Torrented?

Try uninstalling the final Sims 3 first, then trace out all the remainder files of the non-final. Then reinstall.

Same here, so I did this:
    Firefox -
    1. Click on Tools
    2. Click on Clear Private Data
    3. Make sure "Cache" is checked
    4. Click the Clear Private Data Now button.

    Safari -
    1. From the Safari menu, click Empty Cache.
    2. When asked Are you sure you want to empty the cache?, click Empty.
    3. From the Safari menu, click Preferences
    4. From the Security dialog box, click Bookmarks.
    5. Click Show Cookies.
    6. From the Cookie dialog box, click to choose a cookie, and click Remove. Note: Alternatively, if you want to delete all cookies, click Remove All.

And now it works :D Hope I could help

Try giving this application a shot. Its called AppZapper. All you do is drag the application of the Sims 3 into it, and it will uninstall it and all associated files. Heres the link ( http://www.appzapper.com/ )

    Hope it works
