I've always had one gender twins or triplets. It's actually pretty annoying
But I know that there are mods and such to fix that issue. However, for $50, you'd expect the game to take care of it on its own.
Yes, I've had both in twins and triplets. And not because of a mod. It just takes some extra work in-game to pull it off.
- Get pregnant
- Have a controllable sim that is lvl 5 or higher in the medical career (not the pregnant sim)
- Have doctor sim "Determine baby's gender" for the pregnant sim
- If the Dr. says is it a boy, eat lots of raw watermelon. If they say it is a girl, eat lots of raw apples.
- Listen / watch kids radio/tv a lot to increase multiples chance.
I believe in my game I've never had triplets before! I have, however, had twins, and most of those twins were same gender twins if I'm remembering correctly.
I always have same gender twins and triplets. The only time I've ever had them be the opposite gender is when I did the "ask gender" from a doctor thing. But I've never had them "naturally". I remember in The Sims 2 I would only have boy/girl twins, I used to get so mad lol. Now I'm always hoping for the opposite.

work it is especially if the only doc in town is your own ... :x .... but does add a nice bit o' spice, I usually leave out the kids tv/radio step
My daughter had triplets once on accident and deleted her family, "it was to hard with all those babies mom" glad shes got a few rl years to go

I'm going to try that doctor thing, because I've heard from many people that it works.
