Mod Framework, Help!

I'm trying to install NRass mod right now, and I've gotten it to work to an extent but something is still wrong.

I have 2 mods folders. One is at: Documents/Electronics Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages

And then the other is Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 Ambitions/Mods/Packages.

And I have the resources.cfg file in the documents mods folder.

So I put all of my mods in both the documents and program files to make sure they worked (because I didnt know which to put them in at first). Nrass didnt work when I had it in program files, but it worked when I put it in documents.

There is, however, a problem. After NRass mod registered with the game, no text displays in the little announcement boxes that come up on the top right corner of the screen, and also when I go to my computer to try to use the Nrass mod, the option where I assume Nrass would be is blank so its just a blue bar, but all of the other options like writing/real estate, etc, dispaly text.

Anyone know whats going on?

I keep my Mods folder in the Base Game folder in Programs. Try there and see if it works.

Do you have Delphy's Framework Installer, that may also be useful. It is in the testing stage at the moment tho.

I have that monkey framework thing, I think that id delphys. When I double click the file it says could not find a valid directory. I think its looking for one in the sims 3 file, but I heard i need to have it in the ambitions file. Also my other mods are working fine so not sure what the problem is.

How old is the Framework Installer. If you got it before Ambitions came out, you will need to redownload the newest one and reset the framework up.

I heard that you can't use the monkey installer anymore, it isn't compatible with the newest EP or update/patches.

Ok I tried the new monkey installer and I'm still having problems. The mod isnt registering at all in the game now. I figured out that the text problem was because I didn't have the text file in the mod packages. Now I need to figure out how to get the mod working in the first place again.

it's not a monkey installer.

It's a Framework installer, basically, it sets up certain files so you don't have to. It is, as I said, still in a testing stage.

I know, I just call it monkey because it makes all of the icons for my mod files monkies.

Turns out the monkey thing was a different installer type thing I had which I just uninstalled.

Still unable to get the nrass mod to register with the game. I've tried about 20 combinations of having it in different files, having no other mods, etc, and it still isn't working.

I have absolutely no clue why it decided to work an hour ago because my files were no different then...

/Sigh... computers suck...

I think the problem might be that I have an out of date resource.cfg file? Can anyone link me to the latest one please?

There are some on Sublimesims but you need to google it. I don't want to get in trouble for linking it.

Your Mods folder should now be in Documents not in the old location. Make sure you don't have duplicate folders in both locations. I'm having the same issue as you - it isn't showing up in my game at all. Have just installed WA and the newest patch (2.9). THe mod shows up in my hacks folder (under mods/packages) but when I play the game - zilch, nada, nothing!! Please help I love this mod and the game sucks without it!

Wait monkey installer dont work anymore? Should I uninstall that program?
