Has this ever happened with the pool?

So I made these two young adult male sims, one went out night clubbing when he got back, his roommate was just getting into the pool. Well he immediately drowned I don’t even think he swimmed at all, it was like he didn’t know how! I’ve never had a sim just get into a pool and immediately drown, has this ever happened to a sim you’ve played? I’m still shocked.

If he was very tired, yes, he would drown immediately. I had a sim accidentally drown like that in the sea in Sulani.

Yes being exhausted and deciding to swim in a pool or any other body of water, is a recipe for disaster. I hope you exited without saving.

The problem here is that "float on back" restores some energy. So a sim that's low on energy will sometimes decide to go float on back to restore it (if coffee machine or bed are hard/impossible to reach) and then drown.

Yes I think his energy was very low, why would he do that?! lol. My other sim literally got back from a night on the town and his friend/roomate basically jumped in the pool, I couldn’t have stopped him he was on his way in right when my other sim got back on the lot. ):
