Broken hair cc?

Has anyone experienced hair cc glitch after the recent update/patch?

I'm personally having issues with Anto hair cc files.

CC glitching after the Sept 5. patch so far seems to be related to Alien tags for some reason. But I hadn't heard of hair doing it.

any realistic way of deleting broken cc or cc you just dont care for. To say I have a lot is an understatement.
I am on mac and it's not easy. I have sims 4 mod manager, but realistically how can I go through so many files?

You could load it in Sims 4 Studio and delete from there, I think.

Sims 4 tray importer has a Mac version. It is so easy to use! You simply install the program the make new sims that are wearing the CC you no longer want. Remember that you have the option with each outfit category to make multiple outfits. (press the little button above the symbol ex: everyday sun). Save the family/families you made and close the game. When you open tray importer choose the family you made and it will list all of the CC you used. You can then delete it. You can also use tray importer to find the site you downloaded the CC from if you are missing a mesh.

I use Sims 4 Studio to maintain my cc. You see the cc, and you can delete it directly. You won't need to find it in the downloads folder.

Sims 4 Studio is also nifty for adjusting tags and more. I don't always agree with the creator's settings, so by always checking those tags I can make adjustments suiting my game better - such as avoiding random sims to wear a CC outfit or hair.

@Simmerville I don't know why but when I tried Sims 4 Studio, i just get the mac rainbo disk spinning disk and nothing ever happens.

@Bananas_45 I could never get the tray importer to work for me. I did watch tutorials how to use it, but I have so much cc, I couldn't imagine making sims wearing broke cc would be a fast way to get at this. I mean I have a lot. Sims in cas takes me a long time and there is so much I would like to get rid of.

I have Windows 11 and Windows won't allow me to download Sims4Studios. Face/palm. There is no name on the piece of hair cc, but the face has black paint smeared on the temples and the nose and face makes it look like the Sim is wearing a covid mask. Then there is the matter of the Question marks. I need to remove this corrupted file. Is there a workaround to Windows blocking this? I have 36 cc hair files in the folder. Without some easier way to remove it, I'll be filtering through them for days.

ETA: I just tried to download Sims 4 Tray Installer, as that appeared to be another way. However, the only way I can download it for Windows, requires I also download Wave, but that isn't free. Face/palm. I'm not having a good day . . .

With SIMS 4 Studio make sure you get the updated beta version from here: https://sims4studio.com/thread/29786/sims-studio-windows-star-open I always use the version that comes with an installer. From the Installer page I get an error that says: Google Drive can't scan this file for viruses and the option to Download Anyway. Anytime they update Sims 4 Studio it changes to untrusted site status because the number of downloads has reset to zero, so it looks like no one is using the program. Click on Download Anyway.

In your Downloads folder double click the program to install. I usually get a message saying that Windows Protected your PC. Click on More Info. Now you should see an option to run anyway. I hope this helps!

PS... it sounds like you are missing meshes for the hairs that have question marks and black marks. You can use Sims 4 Tray Installer to go back to the download page and you can snag the mesh! When you have your CC pulled up in the program right click on the file name and choose Find On Google.

Thank you. I tried that option as well. What I ended up with an empty file. Windows 11 is hellbent on saving my computer. LOL

The upside of this, is I painstakingly sifted through the entire Mods folder. As I mentioned earlier, I ended up trying an experiment. I opened the older game for Erik, the one I had to abandon because something was off, can't recall now, what. But in so doing, I noticed that weird icon was gone. I compared the current Mods folder to the Old Mods folder and from there, I tested every file by division: cc Hair, Decor, etc. All of my stuff showed to be good to go. I then copied this Mods folder into the Current one and sadly the icon returneth! This was a head-scratcher for me. I then opened a New Save in the same game folder and discovered no weird icon. I won't reiterate what I have already posted. Suffer me to say, I think things are okay, now.

Again, that you. It's only one hair and I can live without it, since I was thwarted from said download. The important thing here is it's no longer in my game, at least the icon is gone.
