    Came Up Egregiously Short In the Timeline Should I?

    I should have realized that getting Erik to Rock Star, Global Superstar status doesn't take that many sim-days. I've done it in as little as nine sim-days. I miscalculated when I started with a copy of his nuclear family wherein he was already a Global Superstar. Besides the fact there is no Tile for him to show his future children, I also flubbed up on the writing of one of his many songs. I either underscored it prematurely, or something. (I made a chart and as he wrote them, I would underscore them so I wouldn't get confused. Once I had him write the same song, but under two different instruments.) When I went to have him license it, it just wasn't there. I ended up picking another song in that instrument. I had thought about playing Brianna through the Strangerville mission, but being in the same save would advance time for everyone so that's not good. Also, here we sit a good 29 RL days prior to the dropping of the Patch and all I need to do now, is plan and execute a wedding. :open_mouth: Help me decide, please!

      Maybe it’s just my perfectionist trait shining through here, but given the length of time we have left between now and the patch launch date, I vote to start your game over (keep your original save, of course) to make adjustments so that you’re completely satisfied with your game.

      I especially would consider starting over since Erik doesn’t have a Starlight Boulevard tile. I feel like he should definitely have one, but that’s just me! If you can quickly get Erik to Global Superstar status, I’d hope you would have enough time to start over, make necessary adjustments, and still plan the wedding of Erik and Kayleigh’s dreams!

      Just one. It's not that he hasn't won a Tile in the other past saves (now all gone), but that if I'm having to restart him again, there isn't one to show his status for his children to see. Legacy, if you will. Plus, when I goofed up with the songs, it bothers me greatly. I have gone so far (to help me keep things straight) as to write down what suit he wears and the color for each award. Yeah, I'm a perfectionist. Since I have too much time leftover to just twiddle my thumbs, it's more about the journey, if you will. But I do thank you for your opinion and I do value the input. I'll be certain to let people know what I decide. :)

      Restarting is what I'd do. A superstar without a tile is no superstar.
      Do you really want Thorne Bailey to have his tile and not Erik?

      I know if it was me that it would forever bug me that the story wasn't quite as it should be. Seeing as you have the time before the patch my vote is to start over again. Good luck with whatever you choose.

      Thank you, one and all. After reading all of these thoughts and opinions, I have decided on a course of action! I will, indeed, set up and start a new save, but I will keep the one I was working on, just in case I fall short of my ambitions and don't get the new one to the moment required for me to jump for joy once the Patch is dropped. (I do know certain mods might be corrupted, but I've played with a broken RTF for a long time, I can deal with that so long as Erik is earning royalites and a salary, if you will, for concerts and photoshoots!) Keeping the save minus the Tile, will allow for me to continue Erik's escapades. Should I manage to get this second save over the 'finish' line, more power to me. LOL Thank you, once again for helping me push through this dilemma.

      Best of luck to you, @GalacticGal! I'd start over, too. With all the time and effort you have put into Erik's story and restarts you have had to do because of issues not of your making, you deserve to see Erik's story fulfilled as you envisioned it from the beginning. :)
