How do you save perfect plants?

I've tried saving my perfect plants, as a room, to the gallery...but it doesn't work. It saves the room and the plants just aren't there. I tried to delete the floor, put them in pots, use a fence, use walls. Nothing seems to work. I see them on the gallery. But how?

Please help! TIA

I have no problem saving plants in rooms as long as I don't put them in any of the square planters (those tend to disappear during some updates (the plants - not the planters). Mostly I put them directly on the floor. Do you make the room first then place the plants into it?

First I tried building the room around it, and the plants just disappeared. Then I tried putting them in the little individual pots, building a room, deleting the floor, and placing the potted plants inside the room. They looked fine, I saved the room, and the room was empty. Sigh.

Slightly unrelated, but I've had good luck in the past with putting plants in the Household Inventory and they stay at their current quality, for generations. (Haven't confirmed this lately, though.)

If you do not delete the floor, it should work. Plants in pots can be put on floor tiles. And rooms need floors to be properly saved.

Any chance it's a bug? The last time I saved, it was just a little room containing spliced plants in individual pots. The room was simple, just the bare, default walls and floors, no doors or windows.

Try building the room first, then placing the plant into it. Just a 1x1 room if it's one plant.

I think it may be that I deleted the floor. The first time I tried, I built the room around plants already in the ground, so it just deleted them. That's when I tried deleting the floor. Okay going back in to try again. It took me forever to make these plants perfect, so I really want them saved to my library.

    Thank y'all!

Yes, I usually do this. I just want it available for download in other game saves I have.

Are you trying to move your household to another lot? Or just trying to save the perfect plants to your My Library/Gallery? If your Sims are moving, have them move with their funiture. Voila all plants will show up in the family inventory in the new lot. From there you can simply place them where you want them.

As for just trying to preserve them, I saved my fully grown Cowplant to a room and uploaded it to My Library in the Gallery and it was still there. Perhaps, you need to remove them from the square planter box?

@GalacticGal I finally got it to work. I wanted them in my library so that if I transferred that sim to one of my other saves, I could load her hard work (perfect plants) onto her lot, without having to redo them.

@HomeMama So glad you sorted it out. Please share what fixed it, just in case others are having the same problem, if you would be so kind. :)
