Fear of Fire

Has anyone been able to get rid of this? I'm playing the Copperdale Class of '00 (Bella, etc.), and 5 of them have the fear. Extinguishing a fire is supposed to get them over it, but they've tried that, and it doesn't seem to work.

Hm. I wish I had something that would help you out. I only just noticed that the Mom in my game has that fear. Can't say that I blame her. She's been zapped by lightning and most recently, managed to spark a dyer fire. Happily, she was able to extinguish herself, but I can respect a healthy fear of fire.

This may be something you need to report as a bug.

Actually, after I posted this, I had another fire (sigh -- and Bob has level 5 cooking), but 2 of my teens put it out, and got rid of their fear.

LOL. I was playing TS1 in 2000. Bella was married with a school-aged child.

One of my child Sims had a fear of the dark, and it took a couple of tries to get her over it. She had to have a confident mood outside, but the wording was a bit subjective (I thought she had to GAIN the confident moodlet outside).
Perhaps the fear of fire might take a couple of goes to eliminate.

You could think of it like children learning. You let them burn their fingers on the stove to learn that it's hot and dangerous. Some kids pick it up right away, and some burn themselves a few times because they're a bit slow on the uptake.
