A University Aesthetic [updated with Incheon Arrival]

Today, I was playing my sims at their university dorm, and I was thinking, wow this dorm is dark.
And, well yeah, it's dark.
But it is all the more so because of my sims and the dormies within it.
So bright and... so wrong.
These sims are a total mismatch for their environment.
And then it hit me--Dark Academia
Just yesterday I was combing the wonderful thread by Netzspannung. She takes all the game clothing and mixes and matches them into outfits.

I remember her Dark Academia outfits and it all clicked.
My dorm, Discover University's Academics focused gameplay, European themes, and the Dark Academia aesthetic.
The dorm doesn't merely require Dark Academia. It demands it!

This was a no-brainer.
Now for the number 2 offender, Meadow Thayer.
That girl in the beach wear was number 1.

Alright, not bad.
Now to take care of Zane.
The red head is definitely on the list.
And so is this one.
"Just humor me, Zane. You'll look good."
Yeah, making over sims is a part of my Uni game play.
In a word, dormies.
Not as neat as I would like, but it will serve.
So studious looking now.
They look book hungry.
Those dormies.
They look even more out of place now.
"Dark Academia club, assemble."
Okay now, this helps the immersion factor and is a lot easier on the eyes.
No, I did not forget Red.

It's surprising that Snowy Escape didn't provide any shoes to go with the school uniforms.
More plaid and argyle.
It's funny how such a little thing can launch you off all deep into the game.
Until this happened, I was ready to push my sims through Uni to get it over with.
Now I'm finding myself:
-Starting a new Dark Academia club formed from sims in the dorm.
-Having gatherings where they socialize, read books, do research, observe the stars, and use the bubble blower for... new points of perspective.
-Having a science day to use the science lab that no student of the arts ever uses. Just for expanding their knowledge.
-Having a nature outing to get outdoors.
-Using my club points to buy perks for Archeology skill building
-And I am also taking smaller course loads so I can better enjoy Uni.
I recently had one sim die during a club gathering and now I am plotting new game scenarios as one thing leads to the next
And now I am thinking of a counter student aesthetic for my Foxbury students.
I am considering Vaporwave, since I have a teen prepping for Uni who is already sporting something like that.
I once had the Bluray in my hands and put it back because I had other movies I had bought and had yet to watch.
I was curious about it, but knew absolutely nothing about it, other than the packaging info. It might be fun to pick it up totally ignorant about it.
It might even give me some ideas for my game.
Cassandra isn't being mean. She's just cleaning up the dormies with a little Scruberoo.
I think I will make a custom station for my dorm.
And it gets a student photowall.
I believe Incheon Arrivals will have items that will fit nicely with my Dark Academia collection.
Hopefully the swatches add some useful variety too. I saw several items that are perfect for the meshes alone.
More dark browns, grey, white, and black in the swatches, along with plaid patterns would be nice.
I like the design on this top, but found it hard to find a bottom that didn't look odd.

You just reminded me that I used to form my own secret society in The Sims 3 because they didn't exist.
I don't care for TS4's secret society, so I really should form my own with the Clubs feature.
Actually the more I think about it, I should certainly do it.
I am going to have Cassandra Goth run a store that sells products that are associated with long life and delaying death.
She will have a network of sims with special abilities that can supply her with goods and she in turn will supply them with ingredients that they can use. I will call a society meeting whenever there is an exchange of gifts.

I can even re-imagine my TS3 Secret Society Club lot.
The Bilderchild Society will rise again.
Excuse me but what object is it that the sim steps up on in order to get a makeover. I haven't played with it myself so I don't know where to go looking for it.

Of course being who I am I immediately sympathize with the kids standing out refusing to wear the dull upper class clothes
