For those who play with vampires... a question on the Vatore Siblings

We all know that Vlad dresses in Victorian clothing and has lore placing him around the era as well as the Noble Vampires, I kind of place the Virtuous Vampires in the 90's and the Rebellious Vampires in the 80's, but what about the Vatores? Now I know Miss was shown to have turned Caleb, however, I still find it hard to place them as he and his sister's outfits are drastically different. Just curious about your thoughts and ideas.

I ended up disregarding the trailer and existing lore surrounding the premade vampires in my own 'universe', and had the Vatore siblings turned sometime during the rough Victorian period. My rough backstory I had for them gets kinda long so I won't go into it, but I had Caleb as the one who's still quite old-fashioned and still dresses as such, who even after so many years still isn't very 'in touch' with the modern world. I had Lilith as the one who embraced modern life, and the fact that she now has a lot more freedoms than she did back in the Victorian period was something she made the most of.

    I don’t care about the dressing…
The 1st thing I’ll do after buying a new pack is to change the premade’s clothes…
For Caleb, I always think that he was turned by Miss 🐸🐸🐸🐸 when he was just graduated from high school (according to MCCC, he is on his 1st day of YA when you start to play his household)
He may have something lemon with Miss H when they were high school students…

    ☝🏻For example☝🏻
At least I’m writing a novel like this

@Celticgamer0 Someone did a more "Vampire-ish" remake of the Valtore siblings. Instead of having them to replace mine, I made them the parents of the Valtore siblings. Morticia and Ghoere" ;)

Seems like (based upon his dress), Caleb and Lilith could either be from the early 1900's (Wild West era), and Lilith just adopted 80's+ fashion and stuck with it, both are from the late 1900's and Caleb just dresses flamboyantly, or Caleb is from the early 1900's, and Lilith is from the late 1900's.

They could either be half-siblings (from one vampire), blood-siblings (from two vampires), or adoptive/chosen siblings (no blood relation). If they had the same sire (or at least a common goal/enemy), it would make sense.

If you take the trailers as "word of god", then the Vatores are off-shoots of the rebellious vampires, and are also from the 80's. Lilith just dresses like a goth-punk, and Caleb likes being stylish.

I thought Vlad turned the Vatore twins? Or at least one of them (and the other maybe biting the other once they turned).

I have my own story. Scru the base plot. ;)
I also put in an AMAZING building for their 'lot.

The way I play Lililth and Caleb is as "good" vampires. Not conformists, but also not all out rebels either.

Their parents are not quite "evil", yet Morticia could be considered a classic gothic Victorian Vampire. She's always out trying to use her abilities to manipulated and tease and control the "living". Ghoere is more of a romantic and a visionary. Trying to find ways for their son and daughter to live in the modern world without being "old-fashion" Vampires.

At least in Sims 4, Vampires don't have that most TERRIFYING blah...
    :#:D

Seriously, I originally suspected Vampires would be gross and dull (or stupid) like some other games.
However, I found in Sims 4, after buying the pack, are actually quite interesting and fun. B)

I've played this household not long ago and can participate in this. I play them as orphaned aristocratic siblings from the 18th C who were turned by Vlad. Vlad is the oldest vampire, a real loner with no connection to humanity. Vlad is thousands of years old. He is a snob who turns very few into vampires because he is antisocial and likes to sleep in his crypt or just make haunted sounds on the organ. In my game, he does not love and only occasionally socializes with the vampires whom he kind of views as kids to get off of his haunted lawn but in a tongue-in-cheek way.

Anyway, Caleb and Lilith were posh orphans in the classical era / Enlightenment. Caleb is like a gentleman vampire who is really comic and kind of laughs at humanity. He has not fallen in love because he doesn't even understand it. Meanwhile his friend Max runs all over town.

I'll admit that I haven't connected with Lilith as much. I have really clear picture of Caleb who is also kind of a glam rocker / Rocky Horror character and fashion photographer. He parties with models and barely sleeps. Lilith is more like the pesky little sister. She has developed a crush on Max but currently Max only dates mortals because he is a commitmentphobe. Since vampires do not die, that would be an intense commitment. Currently she plays the organ badly and they party together as a little group.

I think vampires are sociopathic but admittedly they can be light fun. I kind of like having comic vampires.
    Champ and Girlie are dogs.

I do love hearing about the different ideas and stories y'all come up with! The main reason for asking this was due to my current playthrough being a Decades Challenge and, since I am a supernatural fan and player, I wanted to start introducing the different vampire families in if for nothing else but for background. @Arca I love tragic and horror stories, a type of post-apocalyptic story with vampires sounds interesting.

Since everyone is sharing backstories and ideas, I may as well share the one I came up with for them ages ago in my typical 'overthinking it about characters again' style. : P Putting under a spoiler tag just for neatness and not wanting to clog the thread.
So Caleb and Lilith were born to Constantino and Bianca Vatore- their mother died during childbirth. This was at some point during the rough Victorian period, not sure specifically when. I can't remember which one I made the oldest but there was a 2-3 year difference between them. Lilith's birth name is Mary, but she changed it to Lilith (since Lilith, in one version of the Bible story, refuses to be treated lesser than Adam, something like that.) She was ambitious, but no-one took her ambitions seriously as a woman. Her dad just wanted to marry her off and that was it. She made clothes, mainly dresses. Caleb was an artist at heart, but his dad wanted him to become a banker like him and the other men in his lineage and he had no interest. The two got along well most of the time and spent most of their childhood with the family governess. were both in their early twenties when they were turned.

(Despite a word being part of a canon Sim's name, it's censored on-site so I'll just use an asterisk so people know who I'm talking about.)
Caleb was head over heels for Annabelle He*l, and spent a lot of time with her. However, what he wanted was more casual than what she wanted, and she wanted to live with him forever- of course she was a vampire, so that could be arranged- so she turned him, but he managed to get away. Of course Constantino doesn't believe he's been bitten by a vampire (yet). Lilith warned Caleb over and over about her since she didn't trust Annabelle at all, but she of course had no idea she was a vampire.

Not too long after, Caleb becomes pretty ill during the transformation period, to the point where Lilith worries he's going to die. That night when Lilith is sleeping, I imagined that in the late stages of the transformation a vampire would go into some sort of deep trance or otherwise state of unconsciousness, so when that happens Constantino pretty much just dumps Caleb somewhere in a rural area (near Forgotten Hollow). Whether it's fear that he may actually be a vampire after initially not believing him, or because his dad disowned his son over not doing what he wanted him to, probably a bit of both. Their father then tells Lilith that he died, and of course she's heartbroken by this.

Caleb is taken in by a kind farmer who notices how ill he looks, so Caleb returns the favour helping him out on the farm, and learns a lot about working-class life in the process. The food the farmer gives him doesn't agree with him at all given the transformation period, but he eats it anyway as to not look like some ungrateful rich kid. Some nights in, that's when the thirst takes over and Caleb ends up killing one of the farmer's pigs in the night by draining its blood. Flooded with guilt, he runs away, and as a result has no chance to properly thank the farmer for what he did for him (although he does leave him all the money he has on him at that point).

He writes a letter to Lilith saying he's still alive, and she's livid that her father lied to her. He told her Caleb had been 'possessed by the devil' , but she realises her brother could never be so cruel and sets out to look for him. I don't know how long it took her to find him, they then came to live in the Forgotten Hollow next to Vlad, who considered them weak and foolish. For hundreds of years, Vlad and the Vatores never got along terribly well. The huge painting of Vlad in-game, in-'universe' was commissioned by Vlad and painted by Caleb, who was constantly having to make changes to it due to Vlad's fussiness, and only took on the job because of the money. One of the rejected versions is in the Vatore house and the siblings use it as a dartboard. : P

However, unknown to Caleb for over one hundred years, Lilith had Vlad turn her (I can't remember what lie she'd told him). She wanted to live forever and not just through her creations. She dreamed that, one day, people like her would have more freedom in society, so she'd be able to actually pursue her business idea as a result. In the modern day, she eventually manages to set up a shop after doing a lot of work for individual clients, specialising in luxury clothing. Eventually, after years of being a vampire, Caleb is helped by his eventual wife to make a cure. Lilith is reluctant at first but decides to take the cure a bit later.

Personality-wise, Caleb is materialistic, very formal, and still a bit stuck in the past, preferring to do most things the old-fashioned way. Lilith is more outgoing, but she is very in touch with the modern world and often laughs at her brother for being so old-fashioned.

@SnowBnuuy Up until recently, I have never thought of a pre-vampire backstory. I had made their parents from the 1890s but never had them officially meet. They are my favorite premades too lol. However, on that note, and using different ideas shared by everyone, I think I might have come up with a short story on the siblings. (Though I feel my story telling is subpar and a bit dark.)
Caleb and Gina, or how we get to know her as Lilith, were born in the 1960s and grew up in a commune. This is where they met pre-vampire Missy Helen, or how we'd get to know her as Miss H*ll. Missy was always getting into mischief and blaming it on the twins, but they were never punished. Always praised for "expressing themselves". Despite her actions, the twins loved playing with her. The commune soon went their separate ways over the years, but the Vatore twins never forgot about Missy. Apparently, Missy never forgot about them either. They met again at a club in the 1980s, Caleb and Gina were happy to see her though there was something different about her. Catching up on past events, the twins learned Missy had met a new group of friends and that they would love to meet the two. Taking the hand of both twins, Missy led them to the back of the club where a man and woman sat laughing together. Both stopping to look at the two newcomers before looking to Missy for an explanation. Missy then introduced Caleb and Gina to Markus Crow and Kitty (aka Kat Cave). Seeming to become fast friends (at the behest of Missy) the group soon began to party hard. Caleb had awoken first, his head spinning as he tried to get his bearings. First into focus was Missy, but she looked different, more diabolical. Before Caleb could scream out in fear, she descended upon him and his world went black. As for Gina, she had been taken by the other two members of the group and brought before a tall and lanky man. Waking up to muffled talking, she too was met with a horrifying visage of what could only be a demon descending upon her. The twins would never be the same again.

Trying to keep it T for Teen, I hope you like it

The cool thing about "Vampires" (story-wise) is you can play them as immortal (not aging) without it getting weird after 6 or more generations and they are still there. ;)

@Celticgamer0 Never feel like your storytelling is 'sub-par', there is more than one way to tell a story, and no right or wrong way to do it! : ) < 3
Oh interesting, so you imagine them being from a more modern era then? Ohh you have the other two 'Rebellious Vampires' household sims involved in this, that's cool. Yikes, that sounds terrifying, being introduced to two people and then next thing you know they're in dark form and you're doomed to eternal life X_X I really like your backstory idea.

Thank you for that, I know I am my own worse critic. I like writing stories, but I do feel what's in my head is hard to put to pen. That and many of my stories are not considered family-friendly so they are hard to share, but what I would like to do is write a backstory involving all the premade vampires and have them all intertwined in some way...
