Interactions NEEDED

Dear EA, I would like to request that our Sims be able to share news, in general. While it's exciting to share Big News when a baby is on the way, that's not the ONLY thing shared in RL. For instance, one of my Sims just got a huge promotion. He's now Chief of Justices. Another Sim got engaged. She should be able to share this news, and even to show off the ring. There doesn't seem to be any way that either of these Sims can share their news with others. Plus, I would like to have back the ability for our Sims to introduce a Sim to another Sim. What happens when the newly engaged Sim couple brings their soon-to-be-spouse to 'meet' the parents? Oh, that's right, we don't have an interaction for that. I use my imagination a great deal playing this game, for which I'm only partially complaining. We need to be able to select these things. And it could be entertaining, given any variety of reactions other Sims may have to any of these three things.

Is there ANY chance we could expect a way to share news other than pregnancy, and to introduce Sims to each other in our future?

That's how I feel when they should respond when they do the "ask about day" interaction. If they're pregnant they will share news, or if they got embarrassed at work or sad if they lost a family member they can talk about it. The NPC don't do anything without mods so I don't see that happening.

And a very important addition: Let it also have meaning to our gameplay, not just nonsense chit chatting. I'd like to see boosts from these interactions where they tell each other news or when they have their family meet their new partner. It could be fun if it effected their mood with a little moodlet that could say something like 'phew, that went well' or 'This was a complete disaster, oh well!'

Yes, but the interactions don't have to be strictly with NPCs. I make whole families, generally. Even when I create the Sims that are to be the spouses of my main family, I make the parents of that Sim. Nothing like in-laws, you know.

Oh that would be cool. We do get those random texts from friends when big stuff happens but yeah it'd be nice to have certain things in the game. I would also like to ask what town the Sim is from. We had that in Sims 2 or Sims 3 I can't remember.

I would also like "ask about family" and "who are you seeing?". Twice last night my sim was told by 2 good friends that they are seeing someone but never say who they are seeing. Of course I know who they are seeing but my sim doesn't know. These are normal things to talk about.

I always cringe when a sim I barely know sends me a text congratulating me on a promotion or whatever. Stalk much?

I don't remember what pack that came in (might be Get Together), but your sim can ask/talk about other sims (its under Friendly). Not in game right now, so can't check.

I've done this a few times. You talk to sim A about sim B. Sim A will then go talk to Sim B, and give you feedback on how that went. I've gotten something like "You were right, Sim B is awesome. Thanks!" I don't do this very often, because I'm a bit manic about sims properly introducing themselves, to learn the other sims traits.

I think there is also a way to hook Sim A up with Sim B (romantcally), like "you 2 would be perfect together, why don't you call them for a date, and see how it goes?" I believe you also get feedback on how that went.

I would very much like for my sims to share other news than pregnancy, but it seems the news is spread as it happens. Even with my reclusive gameplay, with my sims hardly ever leaving their homes, other sims instantly know what's going on. Although, I've gotten calls a few days after a promotion as well, so maybe the jungle drums don't work so well all the time.

The key word in your phrase was barely. You indicate that your Sim does know the texter (is that a word?

). I don't mind those, I think they're quaint.

Zero has a mod that has these options if you are not opposed to using mods. It's called "Share More News!". Here is the link https://www.patreon.com/posts/share-more-news-29352589 or you can just google Zero Share More News mod if you don't trust links here.

It's something I really wish was in the game too. I used to have the mod and it worked great but sadly I had to cut down my mods folder a little and the only reason I don't have it still is that other mods were more important to my game play.

I'm not opposed to mods, at all! I just won't use a mod that interferes with my must-have mods. LOL I've got currently, MCCC, RTF, SOL, RoBurky's Meaningful Stories and Showtime. I'm very slowly adding back some cc that's necessary for my other game save, set in the 18th century. Do you know if Zero's SMN interferes with any of these? I had ever so briefly installed LittleSam's 21 day seasons, but that appeared to have problems in and of itself. In retrospect I may reinstall it, since it's possible that I didn't click hard enough on the event. I was attempting to plan a wedding, but after all was said and done, it was a Spooky Day party. Face/palm. After I uninstalled the mod, it was still coming up as a Spooky Day. Then I recognized that the Event page hadn't changed. Spooky Day is the default.
