Can't act out scenes?

A couple of times during a gig, I have clicked on the scene mark x's, saying my Sim wanted to perform a certain scene, and the costar came over, but they did not complete the scene.

Anyone else have this issue?

Not so far. I only just experienced the being able to follow to the studios for the first time, though. He did well and gained a promotion.

I had this issue for the first time last night, both with chasing down the co-star to rehearse the scene and then being unable to complete the portion of the performance. Fortunately my Sim had high points and got gold, but it was frustrating.
