Can't Buy From Store In China

So when i first went to china i was able to purchase a tent and stuff from the general store but now when I go back to china and go to the store and try to click on the register to buy stuff it just says store is closed....any help on this would be great!!!

1. Go into "Edit Town"
2. Type Ctrl-Shift-C to open the cheat console
3. Type "EnableLotLocking true" in the cheat console
4. Select the lot where the General Store is located
5. Click the padlock to unlock the lot for editing
6. Click the "Build/Buy" button to go into "Buy/Build" mode
7. Go into Build Mode and select "Community Objects"
8. Delete the offending register
9. In the "Community Objects" section, go to the "Miscellaneous Objects" subsection.
10. Buy the "General Store Register" and place it where the offending register once was.
11. Go back into "Edit Town"
12. Press "Return to Game". You can save now if you want.
By this time, test it by sending your Sim to the market. A new cashier should be there by now.
If the store is still closed after that.. I'm not sure what to suggest other than replacing the register as the poster above mentioned.
