Relationships gone!!!!

Hey guys is anyone having an issue with the relationship bar.

mine are empty and regardless to how many new people i meet, the bar still shows no friends.

also the little thought bar in the top left corner which shows u who u are talking to aand what they are thinking, has no writing popping up and the friendship meeter is perminitly red.

I dnt knw wether this is because of WA or because of the patch but there is no point in playin the game until its fixed!

Do you have any Custom Content hacks or mods, or even items or lots from the Exchange ? Anything other than the EA store items is considered CC by the game now & it does not all work well together.

Is your family tree gone too? That's what happened to me. I think this all has to do with a flawed process of importing and exporting the sims that don't go on vacation with you to the abroad neighborhoods and back.

I agree, the game is unplayable in its current state, which should have been a beta release at best. Next time I'm waiting two months to buy the EP.

This is reported by so many in previous threads, and its the issues that is making me not able to play my game.

these two points are similarity for many, many reported issues in regards to :
- As you get home from vacation, the relationship panel is blank, all relastionships goes invisble, the game still see them as you can access by phone or as you go back on vacation
- Same time as the relastionship Panel goes blank, the relation Bar (social engaging) is totally red, both sides, no text visible of what is your status, action etc. and you cant socilaize with special abilities just base as if their all strangers.

however as i discovered more when testing around, this applies in my case:
- Relationships was ok when i vent on second vacation, back on in home neighbourhood, is back to missing panel and red bar.
- it is not only your active household who loose the action or get blank panel, its the entire neighbourhood.
- Family tree is still intact and not effected
- it is the save file for the neighbourhood which is 'glitched' somehow as it happened if i try go on vacation with any in same neighbourhood. aka i cant go on vacation
- i started a new neighbourhood, a test one, and here i can go on vacation with no problem, no issues when returning home.

bare in mind:
i have one neighbourhood i care a lot for, i have over 20 families i play there, 3/4th generations, sisters, uncles father in law, alot of those family bond, this is my GAMEFUN, so if those are lost and family tree ruined there is no game for me.

learned some more last night:
before my game acted up i managed to be on 2 vacations with 1 family, i went making it the active family to test going on vacation with them aswell, there i saw in relationshp panel, that their relationships from homeneighbourhood was screwed, some who had become adults still had infant icons, elders was still adults.. dunno if it matters but its atleast screwed too

my theory
Somewhere along the way a savegame of mine must have got some relationsgitch issues, i save using 'save as' often, the way i always done it, however eachtime ive treid go on vacation i have to go back to previous save, so i cant go on vacations until a patch is made. making me nuts
- it IS vacation related, as some also reported of clones appearing when returninghomes from vacation, i started thinking am i stuck with my clones? is that why i lost my relationship panel ?
- once got, it effectes the ENTIRE neighbourhood, so must be some naighbourhood saving/save file issue

- sims3 disk
- WA digital download
- patched the patches as they came
- reinstalling even manually do not solve it
- NO CC ever, only EA storebought items
- no fix yet

i think thats what happened with my game wat if a save my sims and insert them into a new town will the panel be back

ive done that too, in a fresh new town there are no bugs, but family tree will reset, meaning all pregeneration or other familymembers not living on lot = lost

I've lost track of the number of times I have restarted the game. I'm getting sick of working up to a good playing level then losing all of my work. I had a couple towns I was finally okay with, refigerator bug and all, and now I have lost the relationship bars. Wich means it's not playable. At this point I have no desire to start all over again just to have the same issues.
If I'd have know this game had so many problems, I would not have purchased it.
Does anyone know if EA has even acknowledged this?

same thing happening here, no CC and no hacks or mods, the bug keeps happening and the relationships bar keeps resetind

The same thing happened to me. I am so completely disappointed. I feel like I have found almost every glitch to find. I've had to uninstall and start everything over twice now.

Not only are my relationships wiped, but I'm unable to start new ones. But I don't have World Adventures or any other expansion. Has anyone found a way to fix this? Were you guys able to create new relationships?
