Hi there Y'all,
so I recently redownloaded my sims 3 game (with no mods/cc or expansions loaded). The launcher shows up fine but when I select play game it gets stuck on the blue screen with the plumbob, and after a few minutes an error shows up saying "there is a problem connecting to the server. Make sure your internet is active." I have done multiple clean uninstall/reinstalls and my internet is always active. I'm at a loss, any suggestions would be appreciated.
I did a push-up today!
Well, actually I fell down. But I had to use my arms to get back up so...you know, close enough.
I need some chocolate.
This is a known issue, and has been for a few weeks now. The problem is the the .dll file that the game is supposed to use to authenticate your install isn't working anymore. But you can replace it with another .dll already in your game files Here's the full write-up:
