Mixologist can't use poolside bar from IP

Hello!
I decided to spruce up the Lucky Simoleons Casino here and there including a poolside bar in the pool. The mixologist that spawns for the bar can't get inside of it though. He just stands around for awhile, then he tries to go do something else. He will be called back to the bar a couple minutes later only for him to stomp his foot and yell that he can't get into the bar. Then the process just repeats itself. Here are some pictures of the bar and the surrounding area:
As you can see, there is nothing close to the entrance of the bar. There shouldn't be any problems. I've moved around ideas near the bar just to open up the space even more around the bar. These were items that weren't even in the way and shouldn't have been a problem but weirder things have happened in the Sims 3.

Only it seems like the problem was never resolved. This was also the only post I found talking about this problem.
Does anyone else know anything about this problem and how to try and fix it?

Moving it to a different part of the pool allows it to work now. I don't like the location though. I wish it would work where I put it initially. If anyone knows why it won't work in this location, please share. : )
