    Does non-played vampires learn powers on their own?

      No they don't get new powers as far as I know but sometimes they rank up.

      Ranking is automatic so that makes sense. It's the same as if an unplayed sim sings a lot, her singing skill improves. But ok; I'll just have to rotate them round. It's 6 (soon 7) sims and all I will do is just to assign powers to them. Not too much work.
