    my toddler had a dirty nappy while the person was there and so they took the kitty back??

      You mean with the adoption procedure? From what I've heard in the live stream that's just so you can check out the pets in the house and play with them before you make their decision. Other than that it's not actually supposed to do anything, they're not actually checking if your house or family is good enough or anything.

      Like Olber said it's just so you can meet the pets (you can choose up to 5 pets for the adoption agent to bring I think). You then just click on the pet you want and Adopt (§200)
