To Base or not to Base

When creating sims and uploading them to the gallery, should I create them with only base content or use as many packs as I can for variety if I want to get a lot of downloads for my shared sims?

I think that your could do a little of both. I mean you could always make the sim exactly as you like and then include a picture of what your sims would be like as base game only.

I believe CAS works the same way with packs and cc where if you don't have that particular item, it will just replace the item with a base game.

@jillibee22 That sounds reasonable. I do use a lot of packs to try and get variety in the sims I make. The ones I have are showcased here: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/15157700/#Comment_15157700

I'm not sure if people who just own the base game are the ones who download base sims or not. I haven't seen a replacement dialog for a pack i don't own because I own almost all of them.
