Nymph Takeover (A Sims 4 Legacy Challenge)

iiimeeiiimee Posts: 402 Member
For far too long, human Sims have ruled the SimWorld. They polluted the air, left trash in the streets, and overall were pretty stupid. Nymphs, who have been in hiding for all this time, are finally sick of it! They don't want to harm the human Sims, but enough is ENOUGH! From this day forward, NYMPHS shall rule!

Please note that, while this is similar, this is NOT the Nymph Project for Sims 4. This is my own challenge that is based around my love for that challenge, and challenges such as the cult/commune challenge. Because it is inspired off of both of these very loosely, the way the tribes are set up MAY BOTHER those of you who are sensitive to topics such as: slavery, arranged marriages, racism, and/or sexism. Let's just say that, if you don't like The Amazon Challenge, you won't like this either, though ofc not all of those topics are in that challenge necessarily.
GOALS + POINTS:
Oh deary me, I almost forgot to add this!
Your goal, obviously, is to fill the world with nymphs, but all while following the rules. I wouldn't worry too much about points, but if you want to keep track, here's a good way to do so:
+10 for every heir born
+5 for every NON-HEIR pure-blood nymph born
+2 for every mixed-blood nymph born
-10 for every nymph-born human
+1 for every third tribe marriage
+2 for every first tribe marriage
+3 for every second tribe marriage
-2 for every banished NON-property-owning nymph
-5 for every banished property-owning nymph
-1 for every third tribe divorce/widowing
-1 for every divorce/widowing
-3 for every accidental death
MODS:
No mods are required, by the MC mod is always good for story progression. Still, if you use the pregnancy mod within that, make sure that only married couples can get pregnant, to reduce the amount of unwanted human babies in your world. Another good idea is to remove culling, so none of your heirs or important people are otherwise deleted, as this challenge can become semi-rotational.
CHEATS:
No cheats that add money to your household or affect pregnancy, aging, or death are allowed. The ONLY money cheat you can use is the "freerealestate on" when you are trying to get rid of banished sims (seeing as how the rules forbid you from killing them).
Also, this isn't a cheat, but I recommend turning "Fill Empty Homes" off in the game options.
GENERAL RULES:
1. All nymphs belong to a "tribe" and must follow the laws of that tribe in addition to the rules listed here.
2. Sims are only considered to be "nymphs" if they possess the skin tone associated with one of the three nymph tribes- anything else is considered human, and nymph-born humans have their own laws (listed within this set of rules). A nymph is "pure-blood" if they possess all the traits associated with one of the three tribes, and is "mixed-blood" if they have the skin but not all of the traits associated with a tribe. (Rules on mixed-bloods will be in the tribe laws.)
3. Saturday is "Courtship day", and on this day you are allowed to hold a party for up to 3 nymphs that are looking for mates. They can be married so long as their tribe does not enforce monogamy.
4. Sunday and Monday are both "Wedding days". (Check the tribe laws to see the rules on marriages)
5. OPTIONAL: If none of the sims if your active household get married on Sunday or Monday, you may choose ONE child, teen, or young adult sim to age up. Aging up adults is forbidden.
6. A "banished" individual may never be invited over, and those whom they are banished from can only use mean interactions with them and CANNOT BE FRIENDS, even if they were before. If a sim (human or nymph) marries someone who is banished, the same banishment rules apply to them. Note that some tribes may banish certain individuals, while others will not, so not all of your household will have to ignore that sim usually. Banishment applies to any of the tribe laws that it possibly can, so, uh, try not to disobey them?
7. Killing off any sims on purpose is against the rules, as all nymphs are peaceful and would never murder.
8. If nymphs from the first and second tribe marry, rules from both tribes apply to their household and them.
9. Nymph-born humans must be raised by their human parents. They must become enemies with both their human and nymph parents and grandparents at childhood/adolescence and remain enemies for life, but they are the first humans to be considered for potential nymph-human marriages.
TRIBE ONE'S LAWS:
1. This tribe is the tribe of day, so only the tribe matriarch is allowed outside the house after dark unless it's a holiday.
2. This tribe is a strict matriarchy, so only a pure-blood female may be heir.
3. ALL females of this tribe must have a career. Males are forbidden from having an actual career, but may earn money through other means.
4. Only females from this tribe may own property, and even if they are mixed-blood, they can become their property's matriarch. However, they are still not the heir to the entire tribe, so they shouldn't be pressured to have them raise a family.
5. Females of this tribe are forbidden from marrying humans, though they may mate with them.
6. Females may NOT take family leave. Doing so means BANISHMENT.
7. Every other child born to a parent from this tribe (even if they are not actually apart of this tribe) will take on the "role" of the opposite sex upon becoming a teenager/young adult- You will have to change the way they pee, dress, and if they are impregnated/impregnate at this time, though you may not change if they look masculine/feminine or their actual sex. You may choose what role they take on inheritance-wise, but this will have to apply to all future children of this tribe as well.
8. A pure-blood must be present for there to be a courtship/marriage party for anyone from this tribe.
9. If you have twins/triplets/etc, the youngest of the ones born will look and dress like the opposite sex upon becoming a teenager/young adult, but their "role" will not change. (Edit their masculinity/femininity and what clothing they prefer to wear)
10. Non-heir females, upon getting engaged or married, will have to live somewhere else. You may choose if they have to find a place when they're engaged or when they're married, but this has to apply to everyone within the tribe.
11. All males from this tribe are forbidden from eating or cooking meat.
12. Dates are FORBIDDEN within this tribe.
13. Build a religious building that this tribe can dedicate to their god, the goddess of the sun. It should be public, and all marriages
should be held within this building.
14. Males of this tribe cannot just be moved in with humans. Instead, if you wish to get rid of them, you can move them in with their mother (ONLY if she's a nymph), full-sister, or aunt, but they cannot move in with cousins, brothers, or half-sisters.
15. A banished nymph of this tribe must live on their own. They must be banished by everyone in the tribe who's related to them except for cousins, and for any other relatives (besides cousins) if those relatives are in a household with someone from the tribe.
TRIBE TWO'S LAWS:
1. This tribe is the tribe of day, so only the tribe patriarch is allowed outside of the house during the day unless it's a holiday.
2. This tribe is a strict patriarchy, so only pure-blooded males may be allowed.
3. The females may leave the house at night, but never the property unless they're visiting their (unofficial) fiance or it's a holiday.
4. Only the tribe's patriarch is allowed to be married "officially" (as in, have an in-game ceremony), but "marriage" to this tribe simply means living together and raising children other than that, so unofficial marriages are most common. They cannot marry officially because it is seen as a right only the patriarch is allowed. The patriarch's marriage may be on the property or in a religious building you build THAT'S SEPARATE from the first tribe's!
5. Women in this tribe cannot have careers, but pure-blood women may make money through other means, such as painting or writing. Mixed-blood women are disallowed from making any sort of cash.
6. Only males are permitted to own property. Even if they are mixed-blood, this rule applies to them. They are technically their property's "patriarch", but that just means they are the boss and all rules of producing heirs and marriage still does not apply to them as if they were the tribe's patriarch.
7. Potential "marriage candidates" (remember, they are not technically married through a ceremony, but for the challenge it still counts as marriage) are only allowed inside the house if one relative of the potential bride is on the property and is friends with the suitor, OR the property's patriarch is best friends with the suitor.
8. Male suitors may never be invited over unless they are a member of this tribe OR best friends with the patriarch, in which case he must invite them over.
9. Promise rings are still permitted, and women of this tribe may only go on a date with someone if they are promised to them.
10. Males must never go on dates with humans.
11. The only person within the tribe who needs to be monogamous is the patriarch's wife. If found to be unfaithful, she will be banished by everyone in this tribe and everyone under the third tribe under their rule.
12. A female of this tribe can't just live anywhere she wants. She must always live with a brother (half or full), father, or grandfather from the tribe if pure-blood, but if mixed-blood she may live with humans related to her or females from the first tribe whom she is close to.
13. The patriarch must be present for any courtship or wedding parties done for a girl from this tribe that's within his household.
14. All pure-blood males, even if not the heir, must produce at least one nymph child.
15. A banished nymph of this tribe must live on their own. They are banished by everyone in the tribe except for their childless full brothers.
TRIBE THREE'S LAWS:
1. The first-born pure-blood born of the current matriarch/patriarch will be heir, regardless of gender.
2. Every pure-blood must bear at least one nymph child.
3. Those within this tribe may NEVER own property, as they are a "slave tribe". Pure-bloods will always live under the rule of either a first-tribe female or second-tribe male, though mixed-bloods may live with humans they marry or are related to.
4. Marriage to another tribe is forbidden, but they are free to MATE with any tribe or human (so long as their job permits it), and mixed-bloods can marry humans.
5. Every member of this tribe has one of these five jobs that they must do. Their job can change over their lifetime, but you should always check to see if they are still eligible for the job you gave them a sim week ago:
BREEDER: A breeder's primary job is to give heirs to another nymph tribe. Have a male heir from the second tribe who can't find someone to settle down with? Well, this may be an option for him! A breeder must change jobs only when there are no longer any nymph tribes lacking tribe heirs, and this job will probably become more rare once you have more nymphs of that tribe who are clearly "better candidates" because they are genetically similar. Breeders are allowed to leave the property, but must leave the main house if a party is being held that they are not a part of. Male breeders are free to mate with humans and other nymphs, but obviously females are not, due to how that might conflict with their "work". Breeders are given special permission to go on "dates", though this privilege is revoked for females if a male from the second tribe runs the property, and for males if a female from the first tribe runs it.
DRONES: A drone's primary job is... an actual job. They have a career and bring in money from it, though females may not be drones if a male from the second tribe LIVES ON the property, and males may not be drones if a females from the first tribe LIVE ON the property (Note that they don't necessarily have to run it). Drones may not attend parties unless they themselves are a part of them OR they were invited. They may not take family leave or vacation days, and can only leave the property for work-related purposes or they were invited to a party off of the property.
ARTISTS: This job is only given to an adult nymph who has managed to produce pure-bloods for two different nymphs over the course of their life. They make money by painting, writing, or doing some other art form that doesn't require a career or them leaving the property. They may never leave the property but may attend all of the parties held by the house.
LABOURERS: These are probably the lowest of the low within this tribe's society. Labourers CANNOT be pure-blood and must have their own small houses on the property to live in. Their job is to grow and sell crops on the property, and they can only ever go inside to repair damaged items. They are never to leave the property, and cannot interact with nymphs outside of their tribe. They can interact with humans, but only if they plan to marry them, in which case they will live and be under that human's rule afterwords. If a Labourer manages to mate with a nymph outside of their tribe, both of them and any children they have will instantly be banished from their tribe.
LAYMEN: Children, teenagers, and those within the tribe who for some reason cannot do any of these jobs, are considered "laymen". Laymen may only leave the property for school if they have it. If the layman is only considered one because they have no work they can do, it is recommended but not required that they are transferred somewhere where they can work.
6. Every non-heir (pure-blood or not) must marry the same-sex, but affairs are allowed in order to have children.
7. Nymphs of this tribe are allowed to have courtship parties, but not just for themselves. For example, it's fine to have 2 of this tribe and 1 of another tribe be part of a courtship party, but there should never be a courtship party completely belonging to this tribe.
8. Anyone from the tribe who marries a human is forbidden from speaking to their parents ever again.
9. Divorce and getting re-married is forbidden. If a member of this tribe marries a human, that human dies and no property-owning nymphs live on that property, the newly widowed nymph must go back and live on the property of a nymph.
GETTING STARTED:
1. Decide what your tribes will look like! You can choose any dress style, eye colour, and NATURAL hair you want, but the skin colours should be red, blue, and green- you decide which is which.
2. Create a female from the first tribe, female from the second tribe, and male from the third. They should all be unrelated, and the female from the first tribe is obviously going to be the property-owning sim.
3. Choose an empty lot to live on. You may build it, but money cheats are NOT allowed, so be careful if you want to build it!
4. That's really it, but HERE'S where I tell you how pure-blood/mixed-blood works: A pure-blood will be a child possessing the skin colour, eye colour, and natural hair colour of one of your three original sims. A mixed-blood is any nymph who does not fully fit into one of the tribe's "looks", but has a skin colour that one of the tribes has. Because all of your nymphs have unique skin colours, it is guaranteed that any children they have will be nymphs, though their skin colour is what determines the tribe they belong to. For example, if the female from the first tribe is red, and her child is red, they will belong to the first tribe, even if they have the black hair that is normal for those of the third tribe that their father has. PLEASE NOTE that you shouldn't be too picky about hair and eye colour- you can be, but personally I find it too annoying to look at the eyes to determine the exact shade of green to make sure they're pure-blood or not- if their eyes are green, their eyes are green.

Oh, and I didn't say it, but expansions are NOT NEEDED for this challenge. I don't think any would conflict with this challenge though.

Also, yeah, NO NEED TO EMPTY THE TOWN! XD The whole point is for your nymphs to take over peacefully, so emptying the town would entirely defeat that purpose... Sorry, I wrote this up when I was really tired. :P Hopefully you all enjoy it though!

This looks like such a cool challenge, though I'm confused about matriarchs/patriarchs and property owners, how does that work? Is there only one matriarch/patriarch per tribe? Or is there one for every property? Also, if a nymph from tribe two lives under a nymph from tribe one but they aren't married, which tribes rules do they follow?
