really strange ts2 glitch.

so i'm playing a household at sim state university and student townies have stopped showing up.
instead, i get belladonna cove (adult) townies walking past the house.
not sure exactly when it happened, since everything was working fine earlier.
shut it down, cleared my cache files, and it's still happening...
i've been playing the same household (albeit with different sims in it) for a while now, so some glitching is to be expected. but i've never seen anything like this before. hopefully it's not game-breaking, but i'm definitely raising my eyebrows.
i play a clean game, no mods or cc;
if this is part of a patch or something i missed, please enlighten me so i can stop scratching my head lol.

I've never seen that so I have no help but only an uninformed suggestion. -I'd build or place a new house and move them out then destroy that lot.
i appreciate your input; the issue seems to have fixed itself, at least for now. but i will definitely follow your advice, should the need arise lol.
