Would these specs work with Get Together?

I just wanted to know if these specs would work with the Get Together expansion pack:

IMac 20-inch, Early 2009

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB

Memory: 2 GB

Processor: 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

I'm not so sure about the memory though, but I know most of them meet the requirements.

As far as I can tell from the official system requirements, neither your memory amount or graphics card meets the requirements for the Sims 4.

So interesting question, are you playing sims 4 on your iMac?

Yes, and it works just fine with the Get To Work expansion pack.

That's astonishing given that your Mac doesn't meet the minimum requirements to play the game. What version of OS X are you running? Do you have all the graphics options set to low/medium in game?

    Version 10.9.5

    Sims: High

    Objects: Low

    Lighting: Low

    Reflections: Low

    Visual Effects: Low

    Edge Smoothing: Off

    3D Scene Resolution: High

    View Distance: High

So, the majority of my settings are on low.

Impressive. However turning 3D scene resolution and View Distance to low, you should be able to get some of the other into the medium setting.

@Lunder89 Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to try it out.

But do I have enough memory to get another expansion pack?

And if my computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements what should I do?

You can always buy more memory for your Mac. It's fairly inexpensive to find. I usually use Other World Computing or another computer site to buy more memory. Buying it from Apple is usually very expensive.

I have a Late 2009 iMac with 9400M NVIDIA Graphics card and 12 GB RAM (Used to be 4, extended it to 12 gb) and it works well. The island gets a little laggy if I have too many Sims at a time. It's also running on low specs and Sims/Objects? on High.

    @Tremayne4260

One question: Have you encountered any problems with that site?

Nope. OWC is a good site for ordering. I ordered memory for my current iMac and a disk drive from them as well. Both work wonderfully.
