    Question about story progression

    People say sometimes sims will move out and 'vanish'. . . When this happens, did they just go to the other town? or did you full on lose them?

    *still hoping her random male sims don't end up with random babies*

      Mostly the complaints have been about them vanishing! I dont know for sure as I only play one family at a time.

      Functionally, they just vanish. The game reports that they are "Moving away", but they don't go anywhere reachable, and, insomuch as I've read and experienced, they do not move back. This would be the feature called story progression, but be warned, there is no way yet to turn it off. There appears to be a problem with its implementation, as turning it "off" in the options panel does nothing.
