  I'm also new so I might not be the best nor most qualified to answer this, but I think that you get an answer badge after successfully answering someone's question with a correct answer.

  Here is a link to a post that lists all the badges you can earn and how many points they're worth. Ignore the lol badges, we no longer have the lol option.

  There's a fuller list here!
  Keep in mind that some of the badges are not earnable (including the agree and answer badges). If you click on one of the badges on the page I linked to you can see how many people have earned it, and if it says that nobody has the badge just assume you can't get it.
