For anyone looking for some nostalgia, come and visit Bernard's Botanical Dining! This is a revamp of one of my favorite Sims 2 nightlife restaurants in the downtown area. It has the overall general layout but with my own fresh TS4 spin and improvements.
"We've "rescued" plant life from all over the downtown area to bring you a unique dining experience. 75% of your bill is donated to saving even more plants' lives each spring. Thank you for your support." -TS2 Bernard's Botanical Dining.
I have made this restaurant to be like a "clean-eating" or "vegan" type restaurant, but there are still some trendy drinks on the menu. I had a lot of fun making this build and am very pleased and excited with the results. I hope you all enjoy it as well!
Awesome! Stunning scenery, terrific job, I wouldn't mind visiting a similar looking restaurant in real life. Bernard's is one of my favourites from Sims 2, and also Red's Fiftys diner was a great family and teen venue.
Thank you all! I spent a lot of time on this, so glad you like it!
The one feature I added and tried to play around with is the gated fence in front of the open kitchen, I built it to lock to keep out everyone except employees, but you can only lock it if you're the owner. I temporarily had a sim own it and lock it to allow employees only and then sold the lot; however upon visiting the lot I find the chef can't go into the kitchen and end up having to unlock it.
So that being said, the function works when you own the restaurant, but if you are using it as an NPC restaurant I don't know how to keep customers out but still get the NPC employees in
@rjhenn14 What an amazing build! & a great throwback to TS2! That was one of my favorite restaurants in that game.
I just downloaded & favorited the lot. Thanks for sharing.
