    Place Objects in Inventory.. laptop,etc

    Just now; when I was playing a game;
    One of my guests stayed overnight and she brought out her laptop... and I wonder how do I place the laptop in my inventory. I "bought" the laptop and I can't figure out how to place the laptop in my inventory as I did with the guitar..

      You can just drag the item over your sim portrait to the left and drop it there and it lands in the inventory. I think certain things can only go in family inventories
