Windows 10 & Installing Nraas Mods

Hello, I want to install some Nraas mods to help with TS3. I found a post from a couple of weeks ago that included a link to MTS file "Installing Sims 3 Package Files: Setup & Files". Can I follow this for Windows 10? And what about the zip file program 7zip, I think it's called? Or is there something else I should use with Windows 10? Many many thanks!

Hi there. Mods run against the game engine and are not dependent on the operating system at all. That's why players on Mac OS X can use exactly the same Framework, instructions, and mods as those on Windows. Win 10 is not a problem either.

You need a program like 7-zip to decompress rar and 7z files. The download you need from MTS to set up the Framework and all mods from NRaas are just regular .zip files that Windows can deal with on its own, no special tools needed. But if you ever do need or want 7-zip, that should work fine on Win 10 as well.

Someone told me that s3 & 2 will not run on Windows 10. I thought that sounded a bit far-fetched.

I play TS2, TS3, and TS4 on a laptop with Windows 10 and I have had no issues.
