    Sims 2 Probelm

    I'm posting this here so I will get a quick answer. I installed Sims 2 on to my laptop yesterday and played it for a while, but today it is not working. It says Unspecified error. Does anyone have a solution for this?

      What version of the Sims 2 do you have? Which expansion pack or stuff pack is the last one installed?
      I have been playing The Sims since 2001, when Livin Large came out. My avatar deliberately looks like Chris Roomies from TS1.

      Okay, now its running. I chose to run as administrator.

      Sims 2 base game has known compatibility issues with Windows 7 and later. Right click on the shortcut for Sims 2, select properties, then select the Compatibility tab. Try running it in compatibility mode with Windows XP, and be sure to run it as an administrator.
