I wish there were a expansion to include weather in Sims 4. Of course players will need to remove any mods designed to simulate the look of season like different color trees or snow. Possible features:
- It could take up to a real world 7 day week worth of game play (let player choose from within preferences) to complete a season in the game.
- Have sims react to weather changes, i.e. as fall and winter approach have sim shiver/rub hands/hug themselves
- Have sims curl up on the coach under blankets while drinking coffee/reading books/watching TV
- Have sims snuggle by the fireplace on/under a blanket on the floor
- Have sims snuggle/cuddle while laying on the coach resting/sleeping/talking/watching TV
- Have sims take off their jackets/button-up/zip-up sweaters when they go into a house; lay the jacket/sweater on a counter/couch or hang up on a coat rack if there or in an entry way closet if their is one bit by the set front door.
- - Good opportunity for kids to "get yelled at by parents for putting coats on coach or counter
- - Set a small room as a closet by selecting the door to the small room like we do to "Set As Front Door".
- - Have little kids and teens hang up coats on cubby hooks/lockers in back of classroom (design and sell cubbies and usable lockers in the Home Store to be added to schools)
- Read in bed sitting back or lying on stomach
- Snack AND drink coffee while reading/watching tv
- Have "horror movie/scary show" option for TVs; have sims hide their faces and cuddle closer to bf/gf/spouse during scary parts
- Call bf/gf/spouse while laying in bed
- Call bf/gf/spouse while they are at work to brighten their day/ask how day is going
- Go visit and care for a sick sim bf/gf/spouse; give soup, take temperature, lay w/ them, rub their back/stomach/feet,
- Lay in bead and eat/snack/drink while watching tv (if one in the room)/reading
- Sit and gaze out window to watch weather; storms, snow, falling leaves (great addition for moods: depression/grief, happy/blissful/holiday spirit etc)
- Wrap/give gifts
- Up to 4 hour animation to decorate around the house (time could be dependent on how many decorations have been modded into player's inventory or purchased and how big the house is.)
- - If sim does not get through whole house, gamer can later re-initiate the "decorate" action. Similar versions of the same type of decoration would be skipped if no room to place. Player can manually place via Building Mode. For example, garland that goes up the star rail. If the player doesn't want the one the sim puts up the player can swap it out later.)
- - Should include 4th of July decorations.
- - Decorations lock and unlock based on season so the sims are not just throwing a mashup of everything up. (let player choose from within preferences)
- Jump in rain puddles and piles of leaves
- Build snowmen
- Put lights up outside the house
- - Fall off ladder
- - Clean gutters
- Make Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Halloween dinners
- - Holiday foods (pies, turkeys, hams, cornish hens, puddings, etc.)
- - Give out candy
- - Easter egg hunts
- - 4th of July fireworks/sparklers
- Comfort children afraid of storms
- Let kids sleep in parents bed because of nightmares
- Check kid's room for monsters
- Read Christmas/holiday stories to kids in bed and/or by the fire
- Make hot chocolate for all ages
- Allow sims to walk w/ umbrellas and parasols (depends on seasons)
- Have sims react to weather while outside (if caught in the rain w/o an umbrella having been purchased sim tries to cover w/ hands and starts running to where they were going
- Stomp/wipe feet on welcome mats
- Not really a seasonal thing, per say, but allow sims to take off shoes indoors and walk around in socks or put on slippers
- Have nostalgic moments during holidays where spouse/family members of deceased sims remember and tell stories about loved ones that have passed or become depressed
- Have little kids do activities where they make decorations like the turkey hand prints, and garland out of popcorn etc.
