    My game gets stuck on the "The Sims 4" screen...

    As said in the title, when I try playing my game, after the "Maxis" part, my game seems to stop loading on the screen that is white and says "The Sims 4" along with the green diamond. Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can fix this?

      If you have CC in the Mods folder, pull it out and try again. Incompatible CC will do this.

      Mine is doing the same thing, it goes a little further everytime I use the fix game on the origin page, but it still doesnt work and I don't have any mods. Please help.

      like @luthienrising said, remove cc and mods. if this happened to me, i do not have cc or mods so this is what i would do. save all my saves to my desktop, uninstall the game and reinstall it. start with just the base game. do not patch it. if it works, continue on with the latest patches. if it still works, continue by installing outdoor retreat, patch, get to work, and so on. to see if the problem lies within one of the games. may sound silly but i do that whenever i have a problem and seem to find the solution.

      Same here, dont have cc or mods, but im afraid if i do save everything, uninstall and reinstall, that origin will mark my game as registered (as it is) and that i cant use the same code/have to buy a new game because some people have had this problem.... (hope you guys understand what im tryin to say :/ ) :) oh Happy Simming though :)

      Uninstalling the game does not remove the registration from Origin.

      I did all of that and it is still pausing on the white screen. I refuse to buy another game just because of one small issue. What is going on?

      So your Mods folder has nothing but the Resources.cfg file in it?

      I'm having the same issue but only after installing the most recent update. Deleted all my cc and mods and tried reinstalling the game. It still crashes either on the title screen, or as the plumbob is loading up the main sims page.

      UPDATE

      I found all my previous saved files still located in the 'saves' folder. I went ahead and deleted them all and now the game runs just fine.

      @trc315 - try the save deletion thing that's helping some users, but note that you're also playing on a machine that doesn't meet the minimum requirements, particularly in the graphics card, which this game uses heavily. The game requires a minimum of 128 MB dedicated video memory. You should also update your drivers.

      I had just done all of that, deleted everything and I just updated my drivers. I don't understand why all of a sudden its a problem, I've been playing the base game since it came out on this computer?! Thanks for your help.

      The game's use of the video card's capacity has been increasing with game updates. EPs and GPs add more to that, if you have any. At some point, you won't be able to play the game on a computer that doesn't meet the game's published minimum requirements.

      In the meantime, try uninstalling and reinstalling. Maybe that will let it launch again.
