Commonly & Not So Common Requested Additions For The Sims 4
Ok so this discussion is one I've seen in game forums with frequent updates rather commonly. I'm just going to list down common additions that were asked to be implemented into the game from it's release, beside the additions in brackets will be anything I know about their possibility of being implemented into the game or when they were implemented into the game:
Toddlers
(Possible Toddler Life Stage found in coding, SimsVIP confirmed Toddlers were being worked on from the beginning/pre-release & a skin overlay was surfaced - controversy over it being a skin overlay for Babies or Toddlers)
Pools
(Update 11/04/2014 - Pools & Swimwear added)
Ghosts
(Update 10/1/2014 - Ghost Life State added)
(Update 11/04/2014 - New death added)
(Update 12/16/2014 - Sims can die at venues)
Vehicles
(Vehicles can be seen on roads but aren't interact-able)
Family Trees
(Update 02/03/2015 - Genealogy added for up to 10 Generations)
More Unique Traits Such As Vegetarian And Technophobe
(Mods which add Traits to The Sims 4 Base Game are available)
More Common & Less Common Careers
(Update 12/16/2014 - Business Career & Athletic Career added)
(More careers will be included in the upcoming Get To Work Expansion Pack)
(Get To Work Expansion Pack adds Active Careers: Doctor, Scientist and Detective)

(Currently only Pizza Delivery with 3 Pizza Types & Maid Service either one time or scheduled)
Terrain & Pond Tools
(Currently can only use paint tool)

(Stories occur but require the player's intervention)

(Update 03/26/2015 - Unplayed Sims are now given Careers)

More Accidental Deaths
(Only accidental deaths are being eaten by Cow Plant and Dying of Old Age, it is difficult for a Sim to die in other ways, especially with Emotional Deaths)
Plastic Surgery
(There is a mod available to change a Sim's gender, you can fully edit a sim using Testingcheats True and then cas.fulleditmode and then shift clicking on a Sim and clicking the Modify Sim option)
Body Hair
(There is a mod available which adds body hair)
Ability To Choose Which Life States appear in game
(You can prevent Ghosts in your game by sending them to the Nether, you can prevent Aliens in your game by buying the Satellite Dish and preventing abductions - requires Scientist Career)
Additions To Sim Profiles
(Sims only have traits and careers listed in their profiles)

More Customization In CAS
Ability To Shrink Objects

For example, my sim parents would just play on their phones/tablets/computers, even when a baby is crying its poor lungs out in the same room. (And it happened more than once, to the point of the social worker threatening to take it away..). When the baby was first brought in, nobody cared. The kids continued talking and playing on the computer. If I hadn't forced them to interact with the baby, they probably wouldn't have noticed his existence, lol....
Did the new Feb. patch fix anything regarding reactions and emotions AI?

Also, laying down romantic interactions, talking while fishing, and a better leadup to woohoo than a cheer.
I wonder if this is a bug, especially when you rotate households.
Was there supposed to be some kind of weird story progression or not?
Have the gurus addressed this issue in any of the Q&A sessions or interviews, etc?

In sims, parent doesn't raise toddler, toddler raises parent.

If Toddlers were in the game it would've made sense since there was a glitch where children and teenagers could be the parents of adults lol

wow I totally forgot about Carpools or school buses...
they don't have to make an open world we just need cars\bus to pick us up and not disappear
This has been stickied at the top of the ideas section for awhile now. Worth browsing through. Lots of good ideas.
(Possible Create-A-Style type gameplay feature may be included in the upcoming Get To Work Expansion Pack)
