I did think that some of the backgrounds overwhelmed the text and made some of the words difficult to read. I also found the use of a different background for every slide a bit distracting. But that's only my gut reaction.
I love the way you used creative camera angles on some pages, rather the same old uninspired "point at the sims and click" method. In some shots, the camera angle and the poses you captured were very evocative of Nelly's state of mind. And I liked the way you set up some of the shots, for instance the awarding of the prizes.
I felt an immediate affinity for poor Nelly, because I've just spent the afternoon immersed in the world of a girl not unlike her. I feel that your young artist and my young artist would be friends.
