Can't Patch Game

I was looking through my saved downloads and there are patches in there for all the expansions,
but I can't use them. The Ultimate Collection doesn't recognise the individual EPs, so it says that
University, for example, is not installed. Was a patch released for the Ultimate Collection?

Yes there is a patch for UC. Go to your game in Origin and right click The Sims 2 UC about midway down should say search/get update. Can't remember if it was search or get.
