Hello...
So, I've experienced general lag and crashing issues before (lag issues once in a while, would usually just go away after some time of not playing - and crashing consistently but only if frequent town visits happened, create a sim, etc.)
NOW - today I found myself on The Sims Resource (and that's never a good thing) and downloaded a way ton bunch of stuff (also downloaded Seasons - in which I already had the Pets & Supernatural EPs) - and that resulted in my game lagging a LOT. The lag would only last about 3 seconds, but it would happen every FIVE seconds - which was annoying.
I looked it up on forums here and found a few solutions - changing the settings for my graphics card, lowering all the detail settings in-game. This horrible lag had not gone away - so I uninstalled basically ALL of the downloads, except for like 5 things thinking that its one of those because its incompatible with my game (bc of missing EPs or whatever) and STILL the problem persists only know it lasts about a half of a second, and my games is crashing every 3 minutes.
I don't even know what to do at this point. I had to close down the game at least 10 times to see if my methods worked, etc. I even restarted my computer a couple times too - and nothing. I'm running a HP Envy 23 - with 8 GB RAM and an i5 processor. Like I said above, I've never really had this problem this persistantly before and I don't think my computer would have anything to really do with this since I believe my specs are pretty good....
idk plz help - thanks!

Sometimes when I've been playing for 5+ hours, I can hear a prompt box pop up on my desktop and it says something about insufficient memory (which is weird bc I have a 8gb RAM & Intel Core 2.70GHz processor) and to close the program - but it doesn't crash my game right away. I usually am able to save and close before I get to the box at the desktop.
According to the DXDiag report, your all-in-one desktop PC has an Intel HD Graphics (Core i5) integrated video chipset and its drivers are dated 10/15/2013 . Please be aware that system specifications call for a video device equipped with at least 128MB of dedicated VRAM - your Intel IGP only has 32MB of dedicated VRAM. To make matters worse, the video chipset is relying on slower system RAM for its graphics processing. In addition, Intel IGPs are underpowered compared to dedicated video graphics solutions. The combination of these factors will incur a very significant performance penalty during gameplay, especially when adding game updates or game expansions.
