Okay, here what happened. I patched my game to 1.55 a couple of days ago and updated my mods. When I hit play on the launcher, the game began to load but stopped at the black screen that appears before the intro sequence.
This is what I have done to try and fix it:
-Left the game overnight to see if it would load with no success
-Uninstalled mods
-Ran game without CC
-Uninstalled CC
-Bypassed the launcher
-Ran maintenance on my computer (repaired permissions, software updates, etc.)
I have done some research and the next step would be to uninstall my game, though from what I have read that has not worked for other people with the same problem. Should I try it anyway? What are my other options? Is there a way to uninstall the update since that is what screwed everything up in the first place?
Computer Info:
iMac
1.50 GB free memory
OS X Version 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
I am not very computer savvy, so if there's anything else you need to know about the computer I will use google to help me find it.

From what you've posted I don't think you have.
And you need to free up some space on your hard drive if you only have 1.5Gb free. You should have at least 5Gb free for OS X to run smoothly.
Glad I could help
I was having the same problem as you for the last two days and I was getting so frustrated with my game, but deleting that file worked for me as well
