Hi all... I'm looking for a great computer to play my game on. I have most EPs/SPs, and I also have a lot of store/custom content. I want to be able to play with most settings on high... Does anyone have any ideas?
**No really techinical talk, as I am not computer-smart xD*

The following buyer's guide from the Tom's Hardware website may be of interest to you:

Minimum CPU speed 3.0 single core or 2.0 multi core.
Minimum 4 GB RAM, though even then with all packs and some sore items and cc, you may hit save errors, 6 or 8 is better and 10 is enough to make sure you never see a code 12 or 16 due to lack of memory no matter what packs and what cc you use.
I spent about $600.00 almost a year ago, a Gateway with intel i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, and yes, the intel integrated graphics card. I took an educated chance on it Because I heard it actually does play sims 3.
I wasn't willing to spend Almost Double just to get a computer with a stand alone graphics card. I heard online that sims 3 played with the card, even if it wasn't officially supported (I'm still uncertain if it is or not).
I've got all EP's up through Seasons , all SP's except 2, and A Lot of Store stuff. I play with the default graphic game settings, which are about "medium" across the board. I guess I just don't care to spend double just to put my settings on "high".
I figured IF the game didn't play or had issues, I would then spring for a new power supply and better video card. But so far no real problems. No error codes or crashes ever (fingers crossed).
The only odd issue which I'm guessing is the graphics card, but I'm not sure, and it's not a game breaker. When I "window" the game , and come back, the screen is darkened a bit like night time view. I just go back to main menu , or sometimes only edit town, go back to the neighborhood and it displays as fine again.
I'm guessing my processor and RAM help a lot.
Whil I'm in love with my Nvidia Titan GPU, there is really no reason game wise to go spend that kind of money on a GPU and, none at all PERIOD unless you have the 4000.00 liquid cooled, 1000 watt power supply super rig to put it in - even if you did put it on a lesser rig with a slower end CPU, it would be a waste of the potential of that card - the CUP has got to be able to feed that thing all it can take to really see what it can do. (Um, TS3 all packs, 2,5 GB cc at 60+ FPS steady, max settings no lag, crash, error, nothing.)
Yes that can be accomplished but not on a budget and, I know most can't afford to sink 5 grand into a computer (and that isn't counting the monitor, mouse or keyboard - there is another 1500.00 there.)
