Since Saturday I have been having problems with reinstalling the Store Content. At first I thought it could be the files I had was misplaced. Yesterday I deleted the Store Content in my Downloads Folder and reinstalled, thinking it could be that the files could have became outdated (The oldest files on my laptop dates from August 2017). Today, I reinstalled the remaining items I had left, installed the items I downloaded yesterday and deleted the Custom Content I don't use before playing. Unfortunately, the Store Content still hasn't appeared. So I Saved and Quit before asking my brother for advice. He suggested that I uninstall The Sims 3 from Steam beore reinstalling (I use Steam primarily for The Sims 3, but I use the CD Keys on Origin). But I kept getting an error message every time I started up the Launcher saying "There was an error during Startup. Please refer to the Log". My sister suggested an uninstall, reinstall and a restart, and did that. Here's what I have:

I haven't had this problem before now. But I am currently trying to see if the Launcher being updated on Steam helps resolve the problem. I will update with the result
I have tried "Run as Admininstator" when I played, updated the Launcher on Steam, looked at the registry and still nothing. I also deleted the Custom Content I barely used and I have deleted the cache files and game mods. I'm going to try and reinstall through Steam and if the problem is still there I don't really know what to do. My laptop is mid-range
I seriously suggest contacting Origin support. From what I understand, there are all sorts of problems with the Sims 3 store now. When I was porting over my old physical copies to Origin I had to figure this out the hard way.
@texxx78 I have Origin too but I don't use it though. I never had this problem until Friday.
Going to try with the Launcher once the game reinstalls. If that works I will play for five minutes without Mods and then go out of the game and then reinstall the following Mods: NRaas Overwatch, Story Progression, Master Controller, Porter and Error Trap.
So anyway my sister went to Factory Settings and it turned out the problem was I didn't move the Mods Folder to desktop plus I didn't restart yesterday. Hopefully with the restart and reinstall the game should work again
Decided to run a quick scan, and if The Sims 3 Launcher still doesn't work I will uninstall both The Sims 3 and Steam, restart and reinstall Steam then The Sims 3

I was having issues, this is how I got it to work, and it is very simple: 1. Close Steam and start it up. 2. Right click The Sims 3 in Steam Library list of games, or the picture and click play. 3. You will get option Play The Sims(TM) 3, click play. 4. The Launcher should pop up now and all items should be there now.
I do not know why this does this and why it works but it does. I can download all my items from Exchange and install them, then close out launcher and run The Sims 3 from my shortcut on desktop and when in game no items show up. Launcher won't show them either, but they will be in my Download folder.
It took me a while to figure it out, but by simply turning off Steam and then turning it on again and following those steps, it fixes issues. After I do those steps, I can run my shortcut without issues again or missing items in game.
Do not ask me how or why it works, it just works. This game sometimes is like lining up the planets and moons, it is picky how it wants a perfect alignment to work right, lol.
Also something to note, the error "might" occur again if downloading and install something from Exchange later down the road. It is wise to run those steps every so often.
