(I'm not sure if this was better suited for the General Discussion thread, but I am talking mainly about store worlds, so I put it here.)
I'm at a bit of a crossroads as to what to do.
See, I've gotten some Simpoints today, and I have enough to get a Store World. Now here's the thing: Lucky Palms and Sunlit Tides are the only Store Worlds I don't have. And from what I've seen of them, I've got a pretty even opinion on both.
But if I go for the gold version of one, I obviously can't get gold for the other (I want to try all the Premium Content from something, hence why I'd like to get a Gold version).
Then there's the choice of getting the standard versions of both, but not all the Content I'd like to try out.
And my last choice: Don't get either, and just get some store sets instead.
So, help me make my final decision. Do I go with:
1. Lucky Palms Gold?
2. Sunlit Tides Gold?
3. The Standard for both?
4. Neither of them?
(Note: I did try using MMAO. Neither world showed up.)

Part One(Complete 9/24/16) /
Part Two(on hold)/
Short Stories(on hold)/
Twinbrook 1996(on hold)/
Ten Crystal Hearts (on hold)
I own the TS3 Store as of 12/11/16 (sort of. It's complicated)

And at the same time it's a little more compact, it still has lots of space and big lots to add Store venues and things from other expansions.
Plus the casino venue comes with a slot machine and a blackjack table which is always fun- you could use the Gold items to make a swanky club or speakeasy with an illicit gambling ring in the backroom! Or a Vegas casino in a resort if you have IP!
The possibilities are endless! Happy simming xx
Sunlit Tides is lovely to look at but feels more suited to a vacation world and is a pain in the behind to get around, it seems to have far more water than usable land. Of the 2 I play LP far more often.
As for Gold over standard, if opting for ST I'd only bother with standard, that gives you the sauna which is very good. The massage table with Gold doesn't add all that much imo.
When I bought LP I only bought standard as I already got the Casino cheaply when it went on sale, however you could be a long time waiting for such a sale to happen again. I prefer the PC content that comes with Lucky Palms, suited to lots of other worlds.
Sunlit Tides fitted to be a vacation island more of summer season, however spreading the land with filling of ocean. But lack of spaces especially comes residence and commercial lots. Nice in my opinion.
I'd go with Lucky Palms (:

It depends on what you like, I think... Standard Version of both gives you two worlds, and the venues could wait til later? Although in fairness, Sunlite Tides is so much better in GOLD, the stuff you get is amazing, and without it, my ST wouldn't be the same, as I use the things often
Lucky Palms is amazing too though so harumph. I'm not going to be very helpful with this one
LP is desert, and an unusual landscape, especially for an English person like me: I have never seen any landscape like it before! So for me it's kinda surreal. The people there are cool and it has a real fresh feel to the whole place. Quite big as well, and some unique lots that stick out into the sea, make it worth it in my opinion I love the build buy stuff too!
ST is sand, sun, sea type deal. It's fun, and has GREAT items come with, CAS included. Adds a lot if you have Gold. Standard hasn't got so much, although there's a lot there. It's very unusual: love the mountains and jungle parts. Water there is crystal clear and sparkly! Great, stunning worlds. Maybe not to routable as it is so large.
So I can't make the decision for you, but maybe all that ^^ will help ~YJ~
