I've always wondered - how do you deal with townies in themed world building/storytelling, like this and the decades challenges? It would drive me crazy to have townies wandering around as they are, when I'm trying to imagine a post-apocalyptic scenario. I hate micromanaging, and that extends to policing townie fashion. I…
They have a mod that removes the limit. However, it might be interfering with the roommate check, which sees that there are 8 sims and says no, despite the fact that they already have more than 8 in the household and can have more if they want.
They need to be able to get to the beds. There needs to be a full block on at least one side (not including a nightstand). Your roommates will also move out if they don't have the things they need to 'enjoy' their life with you. That means they count the number of sims per toilet/shower, etc. There will come a pop up…
You don't have to start new, but it is what I did because it was easier. What you need to do first is disable NPC voting. Once that's done, you need to go into a household in every neighborhood in every world, and shift-click on their mailbox to immediately cancel the NAP's that are active in that neighborhood. It's a pain…
Okay, you say the NAP isn't enabled - is NPC voting for NAP's enabled? Because there's a bug where NAP's from other neighborhoods affect all neighborhoods. So, for example, the Spice District in San Myshuno might have the support the arts NAP enabled, and it bleeds into yours. If you go to Game Options - Eco Lifestyle -…
A lot of times, so much of the person's brain power is going in to what they're going to say, how to make things fun for the audience, etc, that they forget or overlook things a lot. It's easy enough to do. They're focused on performing for you, not playing the game necessarily.
@bootsguy You are going to want to go into your game settings under Eco Lifestyle and disable "autonomous NAP voting" so they don't vote the blasted Sharing is Caring NAP back in. With autonomous voting disabled, no new NAPs will be enacted. However, every week, you'll get a pop up that says a random one has. it hasn't.…
@Colorist40 I have had the lag issue - found out that now, having more than a handful of notifications on your wall can cause extreme lag. Try deleting them. It clears it up immediately for me.
@Pcjunky13 There's some youtubers who have the same, they've suspected it's the Batuu fancy screen transitions causing the issue. Not that knowing what's doing it helps, you're stuck with it until they fix it, unless it is a CC issue.
@Nate_Whiplash1 I tried a quick Google, but it's all just people asking for the cheat to do it. 🐸🐸🐸🐸, that must have been a ninja update. Well, that makes it way easier for OP.
What the what! When did that change? I just removed my mods and tried it, and you're absolutely right. It didn't used to be that way! Do you know when they changed it?
It will allow you to style the sim, but if you want to fix weird noses, strange proportions, or anything like that, you do need the cheats. So not exactly whatever you want, but close enough if you just want to style, as OP mentioned.
If you just want to dress them, you can go into your household management area (on the main menu, where all the world maps are. Upper right corner, one of them has to do with households). There, you can click into unplayed households, and once you click on one, you can click on the pencil icon to be taken into a…
While in-game, type ctrl+c to bring up the cheat window at the top of your screen. Type: testingcheats true to enable cheats. Type: cas.fulleditmode Then shift+click on the townie you want to dress, and there will be an option for "edit in Cas". This cheat is active until you de-activate it, or until you restart your game.
Your inventory gets wiped when you travel to Batuu - you have a separate inventory and money system in Batuu - and returned to you when you go home. So no bikes. No fruit in your pockets. No simoleons. You go there and have to earn credits through their odd-job style system.
Just took a pregnant sim to Selvadorada - she did go into labor, but then it just stalled and she was permanently in labor until I sent her home. I was able to buy a crib, but was not able to interact with it to have her have the baby. Makes sense. Thank you both!
Toddler picture. They've made it to toddlerdom without being taken away. Day One survived, their photographer dad took this right before bedtime. Not gonna lie, it's been so daunting, I barely play more than a day at a time. It's taken forever to get through the baby phase, and they're easy then! I have hired a butler to…
In case you're serious: it's about shaping your neighborhood. One of the ways you can do that is through Neighborhood Action Plans (NAPS). Some are serious, increasing the eco footprint, encouraging gardening, etc, and some are silly, like making everyone wear bags on their heads or fight all the time. Unfortunately, a lot…
@GalacticGal Thank you SO MUCH for the advice! I will use all of it. I'm doing a random legacy challenge, so, uh, I have to pray the RNG is merciful with their traits.
I forgot entirely about both these things! Thank you, I will do freaking both. Are they actually helpful? I remember playing with them when they first came out and being disappointed with the utility. I'm definitely going to try. Anything to take some of it off my plate.
@CorkysPetals Ugh, right? It takes forever to brew, where they just STAND THERE instead of doing something else on their queue, and then they take forever to drink. Might as well do anything else to get the mood you want or the extra energy you want.
