Spent most of my time setting up sims with conversation topics and sims characteristics. (Two hours and still not done including with townies lol) to see how things worked with sims. Pancakes was my testing household and gotta stay it's pretty hectic. Had Bob and Eliza at liking one another with some romance and it just tanked SO quickly to the point where they could barely carry a conversation with one another. Eliza constantly giving Bob the cold shoulder. Her being a neat sim and him being a slob definitely conflicted A LOT.
Eventually she just threatened to leave him if their relationship didn't improve.
Bob then suffered a burnout at work.
Which basically slows down his skill building and lowers the chance for him getting a promotion along with his fun. It only got worse when he didn't get the chance to relax between his stressed relationship with Eliza and he had Brain Block. Afterwards he ended up autonomously divorcing Eliza. I'm just like.... 👁️👄👁️
The tea be writing itself now with these likes and dislikes for Sims. 💅
Is that popup from Eliza or Bob autonomously divorcing her part of a mod? Because if that's from the pack that's AMAZING.
Personally I don't THINK so I only have like a handful of mods I use and don't have anything for relationships anymore (pulled them out with the likes and dislike feature that came in the pack). Might double check and see because I haven't seen this pop up at all and I've had plenty of sims in bad relationships.
I am building a rec centre in Henford and it’s honestly really nice lot type for a village hall, youth centre kinda area.
I didn’t think I’d care for it but lots of sims come and take part in the different activities. I have a yoga class and a piano and some puzzles and scrabble, and a little area for the kids. Some basketball hoop and swings on the outside.
I might use this lot type much more than I thought I would. It’s very versatile. Shame there is no bingo though, and I didn’t see any art class like they said (you don’t need easels for the lot either).
@LadyKyn I have a sim named Maple Pancakes too! He is the great grandson of Bob and Eliza. I've just been playing him.
I found myself totally unprepared for Growing Together. I had one newborn ready and because I wasn't very interested in infants I thought that was going to be enough. But on normal lifespan the days went by so fast and I desperately needed another infant to play with. Maple and Tappura used to go bowling together and I strated developing a romance between then. Tappura is now pregnant and moved in with Maple and his father Syrup. Tappura gained the loyal trait when she proposed at the spice festival!
Now a question: is it possible for a sim living in the same household, but not related to gain a family dynamic? I would like Tappura and Syrup to have a difficult dynamic.

I’m not sure but I e discovered that they can have dynamics with family members outside the household. One of the child sims in my household made friends with her first cousin and they gained the dynamic “jokesters”. I have to get her to interact some more with the other cousin who is evil and my sim already has a wish to make him a “declared enemy” 🤣. He was really nasty to his cousins last time he visited! I’ve never seen a sim so consistently awful to others!

From what I’ve seen so far ‘household members’ and ‘pet’ do not get a family dynamic. But as someone else said family members across different households do.
All sims get social compatibility though so they could have bad compatibility which will make them harder to get along with each other.
I ‘think’ your sims would get a dynamic once they get married though, they did use father in law as the example in the trailer. I love their names too.

That makes sense. I'm not sure if I have time to arrange a wedding before Syrup passes away, so I'll just play it as difficult. They got wins and it's gonna be busy.
tummy time is very adorable, especially when they first use it I loveeee the different puzzle options and that u can frame them. Also the treehouse acting like a room was a cool idea, my sim had a friend over and they just sat up there and had a convo, which i enjoyed.
The new family dynamics and compatibility are so fun. My sim's grandparents are strict with her, but the grandma comes over every day - probably because they have good compatibility. Meanwhile, grandpa visited her like once. My sim's mom, who I envisioned as a bit overbearing before the pack, obsessively visits.
It's given me a lot of story ideas I never would have thought of before. Because Granny Fei is always visiting my sim without her husband, and she doesn't have any particular compatibility with her husband, I'm running with the story that the grandparents are fighting with each other. Fei is staying over at my sim's house while she and her husband work out their issues. Fei pretty much ignores my sim's husband, which is great because I imagine that Fei only speaks Komorebian, and therefore can't communicate with him.
The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017
The exploring foods for infants is so cute They make such cute faces when they are being fed, and it’s fun to get them to try different kinds of food. my infant so far loves pumpkin purée and likes smooshed carrots, and now she can had hand held foods! so nice to have high chairs work lol
So I missed a picture but my couple is on their last little vacation before I test out how things go with a legacy and they are often hugging and kissing while trying for said baby I got the pop up, I think it was titled Hold me closer and stated that her husband developed a love language of touch it was too cute.
Reddestiny921 on the gallery...still not sure if I capitalized the second d..lol
All the sims err'day
I think I'm going to enjoy making Rec Centres in various worlds with different specialties.
I can see bowling fitting in with the Mid Century Modern vibe in Oasis Springs, as well as a pool and outside workout/yoga area. The instruments could be electric, and maybe I could include a karaoke machine too. I think I'll replace the Park there with an air-conditioned Rec Centre instead (who wants to be outside in the noon heat when relaxing?).
Henford-on-Bagley might have more countrified Arts & Crafts, like Cross Stitch boxes/Knitting bags (though just deco), Woodwork Tables and Flower Arranging Tables. The playground/outdoor activities would be more rustic like a basic treehouse, swings and monkey bars, maybe a sand pit. Add a pond for fishing and some mountain bikes on a bike rack for the public to use. A football (soccer) pitch would work great for the gym aspect here too.
I kind of used to use the eco multi-lot thingamajigs (maker spaces etc) as a rec centre, I am wondering how different the actual rec centres will be.
Community Spaces are more focused on shared resources, skilling and small business (sales table) owners.
I like to place one in each poorer neighbourhood for sims with limited income and space to have access to larger/more expensive crafting items and communal food production.
As they attract up to 3 vendors they are also a good multi-purpose option if you want to use food stalls or have manned sales tables.
I think they only attract YA+ to the lot. (ETA, apparently Child+)
Rec Centres are more about hobbies and fun activities, whether that is physical activity, sedentary games, creative pursuits or socialising with other sims.
These are also great for low income/low space sims, as well as for social sims of all socio-economic backgrounds.
They attract all ages, so are family friendly great for meeting sims of any age. They also make a great party venue as there are various group games and activities available.

Agreed on all counts but I do have to note that my Community Centers attract all ages except toddlers. I have a dollhouse in one of my community center and it's one of the busiest items. Lots of kids.
Thanks @EmmaVane that will help me decide where I want to add rec centres in my game.
I'm currently trying to update a few parks with the splash pads but I seem to have creative block. I think it'll be great having them in hot places like Oasis Springs. I can imagine what I want to build there but, at the moment, it's just not coming out right.
Finally got everything sorted out and I'm getting around to playing this new pack. Made my first infant in CAS and I'm in LOVE 🥺
Toddlers are equally sweet but infants do all the things and cute movements I wanted in toddlers lol.
I decided to move atleast one household to the new world and after exploring around with my sim and looking for the perfect location to live, I changed my mind about this world. Or at least the few things I didn't like about it has melted away. I love it! It's a beautiful world. I heard a lot of complaints about shells and yeah I get it but it really makes the world pop. It feels crowded in a good way and all the objects and shells are nicely placed. I'm generally more into apocalyptic world types but 10 out of 10 for this world.
The lake placement is one of my favorite things! Very nice location.
The biggest miss in this world is that house on the lake not being a lot😑
Probably going to spend a lot of time redoing all the lots and I can't wait to jump into the gameplay 🥳🥳
I really hope someone comes out with a retexture mod for this world. I have one for windenburg and it makes the water soooooooooo pretty 🥰

This is a nice family touch.
Thanks for helping out, Elsa.

Mine hated to be carried to. I thought it was hilarious she gave a pouty look when she was held in the infant carrier.
